@Yobo. I think I figured out what you mean. For example, in Yu Yu Hakusho, one of the most interesting "fights" was between Kurama (Yu Yu Hakusho) and Yü Kaitō. Neither of them could hurt each other due to the latter's reality warping preventing violence, so it was a battle of wits. They also couldn't break a taboo of saying "hot" lest they lose their soul (btw, you couldn't say anything that spelled up to "hot", so you couldn't say "each other" for example), so they up the ante by making the taboo that they couldn't say letters of the alphabet, going backwards from "z". Kurama wins by making Yu laugh when there's only "a" left
