Monkey King 7-A upgrade (Shadow fight arena)

This CRT is mainly based off an announcement made on the official twitter page for the game.
Monkey King can move mountains and dry up the rivers
So, using this statement, Monkey king should get Class T lifting strength and Mountain level AP, striking strenght and durability.

"How would this affect the verse?"
All Shadow fight arena characters will scale to monkey king, since they trade blows with him, or even defeat him in combat sometime.
 
Twitter statements are often case by case; of course statements about certain works being canon or if there's an official chronology of many works, author statements on twitter are usable there. But asking yes/no questions when discussing very specific feats or questions where positive responses to questions that are clearly worded in ways into getting really high stats are what is often prone to causing issues.
 
I see, so this mustn’t be too much of a problem. Since this one is directly from the devs themselves, they weren’t asked any question from fans. Plus they’ve always treated monkey king as a very strong mythological being to whom nothing is impossible, only this time they’ve given us a clear level.
 
Disagree with AP. Don't really see where that comes from, to be honest, but even moving a mountain wouldn't be that necessarily, certainly not without further elaboration. LS is probably fine if this is literal.

So where would this place him currently? Is it just the lifting strength or would it scale his AP to somewhere just lower than 7-A? Also, wouldn’t significantly affecting a structure scale you to them?
it is common for them to give bits of cannon information while making announcements, so yes, it is likely literal.

1. You're thinking in weird terms. "Significantly affecting something" is a horribly vague way of putting it- painting a mountain isn't 7-A.
2. Tier names are basically arbitrary. We have a page on the subject that explains destroying a mountain in its entirety can really be as low as Low 7-B.
3. We have no indication as to how fast he moves it. I guess you could go for a huge baseline of 1 m/s, if they lack any other feat, but I'll warn you that I'm fairly sure this leads to pretty disappointing results. EDIT: It would in fact be 5e11 Joules exactly (using baseline Class T weight), which is Multi-City Block level (barely).

so AP stays the same, he gets a upgrade in LS only, seems fine. Should we proceed or wait for more inputs?
 
8-A would be an irrelevant stat to anybody for whom 7-A was not an outlier. So, nothing, I guess.

I mean, currently Monkey King is at 8-C, so it wouldn’t be completely irrelevant. Or are you suggesting we go back with the 7-A ap?

Oh. Then 7-A was literally never going to happen, it's a huge outlier to jump from 8-C to 7-A. I checked and the Monkey King didn't link to a profile on the verse page, nor did several others, so I presumed there simply were none, hence my not knowing the tier.

In that case... even 8-A is pretty flimsy (as the speed is conservative but still arbitrary), but if you wanted to publish it as a blog and say "At least 8-C, possibly 8-A", that could be doable.

Alright then, “possibly 8-A” seems fine.
Note - Every Shadow fight arena character scales to Monkey King in AP, Striking strength and Durability.

It’s true, the verse page is missing a lot, needs a lot of update.

Monkey King has Class 10 currently.

Other characters (lynx, for example) have atleast Peak human (can grab and throw enemies) they don’t really have any on-screen “Lifting” feats other than just grabbing and throwing, only for striking and durability (trading blows with their opponents)
 
Going from Class 10 to Class T over a Twitter statement seems similarly very flimsy. I would be contented with "At least Class 10, at most Class T".

The age of using Twitter statements for feats is a major detriment to us, one feels.

Out of curiosity, are Q&A statements accepted? Because shadow fight devs collect popular questions annually and answer them in an Article, they handpick the most relevant questions over months and answer em. Just in case if any of their answers were related to power levels, can we use it here?
 
Generally not, questions are considered leading and not usable.
 
DDM hasn't actually agreed with this new proposal, should get him or someone else to give it a look over.

I am fine with the proposal. Also I wanted to say that vaporising an average pool scales u to about city-block lvl. The second sentence says that monkey King can dry up rivers. Is it possible to make calculations on being able to vaporise an average river cuz I think everyone is avoiding that part cuz it requires calcs. Is it possible we can scale him to that statement if it scales higher or are mods not gonna allow it?
 
There's no set mechanism to that. It could be non-AP related, it could be interpreted to be a lot of things. Since it has zero clarification on that front, I find it unusable.

Time needs to be specified to make calcs on this feat. Atleast we can make some baseline assumptions for moving mountain(s).
I’d still wager “possibly 8-A” is the best option FRA
 
Yeah, right now it's just that this needs another approval, since DDM approved of something before it was revised. Get him to sign off on this again or get some other discussion mod/admin to do so.
