i watched f91 the other day and seabook does the SAME SHIT
he sees his girlfriend get tossed into deep space and his Gundam literally starts glowing yellow

Uh tbf, the top picture is a normal inbuilt function for the f91.
yeah you're right actually
i was imagining that them extending out normally (like is shown in the movie) was their regular function, but they actually explicitly exist to vent heat for when the limiters are removed and a newtype can use its full power... exactly like seabook did lol
 

So I find an old ass blog regarding the multiple timelines of the Gundam Franchise. Damn
Like the writer said: it's fine. Stressing about timelines and what's canon or not misses the point. Gundam is a "totem" if you think about it, with writers who have differing perspectives. Every timeline is a vantage point from which someone can see that symbol.
