The official book does include a statement that Fredbear could potentially be able to put your soul into an animatronic, but in this context the book only seems to be citing fan theories without directly confirming that Fredbear actually has these abilities.

Thus, I think these abilities should be considered a mere possibility, if not excluded entirely, instead of just outright saying that he has them.

The Freddy Files regards nearly everything of the lore that it shares as a "fan theory". Most prominent example of this is the way it refers to the case of the missing childre, which is actually accurate, well based and pretty much canon even by the time the book came out (It's also talked about in the Files) but still under the section of Fan Theories.

That said. It's not that everything that Freddy Files states translates as canon. Point is that it's the closest thing to be accurate to what's actually happening.

Fredbear Plush's case is indeed left ambiguous, but the question that warrants it's ability certainly it's not meant to come solely from Fandom Theorist, the theory that the protagonist it's being tracked down by something is the one that the guide passes of as the fan theory.

I do agree to leave this as more of a possibility (With the "proposed" part, it's kinda clear that already is, though).
