He needs to charge it.
Ooh yeah just looked at it. It appears that he needs like "imaginary motivation" or smth like that along with that, it takes him a minute of like stationary charging in order for him to actually have it take effect.

Now heres my arguments for both sides.
Deku has Fa Jin in which if he somehow keeps Thanos busy for an extended period, he can actually pop it and destroy Thanos. Even without it, I'm not sure how strong his willpower is but it looks relatively strong. Along with that, Deku might outmaneuver Thanos due to Acrobatics, 100% (SOL) and can likely predict Thanos's next move via Analytical Prediction.
As for Thanos, Thanos will probably not let him pop Fa Jin (unless he just dialogues throughout the entire way). Thanos is a very formidiable fighter and extremely fast as he can react to Captain Marvel's top flight speed and can blitz Hulk. Very powerful foe, even without his gauntlet.

Now, who would win?
I'd give it to Thanos. Thanos will probably cut the Deku transformations short with a quick toss of his Double Blade, which he can do. Deku's transformations take him an extremely long time (like at least 30 seconds) for him to actually get them off, which is more than enough time for Thanos to blitz him in his s$!( and crack the f!%^ outta him.

Thanos takes this.

On a utility end, I think Deku wins out in many ways. Thanos would struggle to get close to Deku due to Smokescreens, Fajin, and especially Black Whip via scaling off of Deku's higher LS. On that note, Black Whip, seems like a somewhat fair counter to the Double Blade.

It's also worth noting that it looks like Deku can LS crush Thanos with Black Whip. According to their pages Thanos is Class T, while Deku is Class P and gets higher under OFA amps. Fajin also amps Deku to FTL, which is looks like his only direct means to bypass the difference in RS.

Edit: I guess I'll be the one to bring up Deku's Danger Sense too. It's probably one of the only measures Deku against Thanos' RS and Power Stone.

Voting Deku for now

IIRC they didn't index it because Thanos hardly uses the amping aspect of the Power Stone when using the gauntlet. The only time he let himself get amped by the stone was when he punched Captain Marvel away
True, although it's well within his capability of doing so (it would've been better to index it as something he's capable of, but not within his AP part of the page, I suppose.)
Oh hell thats oneshot worthy is it not?
Yes, by a crazy margin. That's 2.15 Petatons for Deku vs 29 Exatons for Thanos (power-stone amped) or a 1348x difference.

Deku… dodges literally everything Thanos does with Danger Sense and analytical prediction. Thanos is never touching him with anything other than massive AoE, and he’s going to be restrained by a colossal lifting strength Gap and disarmed near immediately.

Deku does not need time for anything other than Fa Jin, which he can charge in seconds. Idk what you’re talking about with transformations, all he does is increase his power instantly to whatever he needs it to be. In this case he is starting at 45%, which is weaker than Thanos, but his LS is still vastly higher as well as every other ability that makes Thanos hitting him colossally difficult.

There is no “30 second transformation” I think you have the completely wrong character.

Thanos only chance is Omni directional power stone with an AP gap kill blast. Which he would need to do before Deku restrains his entire body/hand and beats his ass unconscious.
