Metal Gear RAY dodges a laser

Metal Gear RAY dodges REX' laser, here is the same scene frame by frame, to show that Ray wasn't moving before the laser was fired. REX' laser is a Free Electron Laser, and FELs move at 0.9999998c. RAY is 21.5 meters tall, 16 meters long and 32 meters wide, REX is 13 meters tall, 15 meters long and 11.5 meters wide.
How fast of a feat is this?

I remember calcing this before. I'll post the calc here for you to put in a blog and get evaluated.

Seeing as the MGR moved at the exact same time that the laser was fired, all we have to do is find the ratio of the lengths that the laser & the MGR moved and multiply it by the 0.9999998c.

The MGR apparently is 20 meters tall, and it moves in 1 plane: sideways. So that distance will be the distance moved.

Size of the POV: 2atan(tan(70/2)(6237/3525) = 102.18

2atan(1029/(3525/tan(102.18/2) = 39.765

Distance away: 27.651 meters

Previous distance moved (yellow line is position of the head before the jump to after the jump): 19.8 meters

Since this was in the same timeframe and it's a nigh-lightspeed attack, all we got to do is divide them by each other.

19.8 meters / 27.651 meters = 0.72c (Relativistic+)

You should be able to create a blog back in FANDOM in the Blogs section of your profile.
