This is actually very surprising he doesn't have already, I was really expecting it to be on his profile. Maybe there is some further context someone can bring to light of why it isn't completely literal but seems very straightforward to me.

Looks good. Though, the last imgur link doesn't seem to work.

It's just a drug-induced hallucination and he doesn't seem to be aware of it once he leaves the dream. I wouldn't really consider it actual 4WA

It was an unsightly view. Men gathered around to discuss one thing-- and that was me. They were talking about my overall strengths and abilities, as if I were some lab rat on a canvas for them. This was a mistake, I never should of come here, I need to get out before they noticed my presence.

Next stop, some liquor shop would be nice. I'm not really sure if the booze'll really get what I've seen out of my head.

Yes but it's extremely on the nose backed by the actor interview on the matter. Max is constantly on drugs and alcohol, and constantly plagued by hallucinogenic visions. Max is drugged out 95% of the time, it's a very in character thing. Most 4WA things are rather one off or off the cuff. Dempsey from Cod zombies had 4WA for having a couple in gameplay lines for it and it isn't relevant for the narrative at all, seems to be the case here.

There was something disturbingly familiar about the letter before me. The handwriting was all pretty curves. "You are in a content revision thread, Max."

The truth washed over me, like a great wave sweeping away all before it. All around me, names I did not know repeated the same words: "I agree FRA. I agree FRA", like a prayer, like a hymn without meaning that would never achieve its purpose. Upgrades and downgrades, like high and low tides in a cycle that would never end.

I was in a battleboarding forum. Funny as hell, it was the most horrible thing I could think of.

I can't see the interview, the imgur link is broken.

Eeh, interview doesn't really add anything imo.

Yeah but that doesn't change the fact that it's not real. Like he's hallucinating that he's in a videogame, that doesn't mean that he canonically is. He also hallucinates a bunch of things that are most definitely not real.

Also this is prompted by one specific experimental drug that he doesn't constantly use.
