Max has better abilities like Turbo Clones, Turbo Heat, Turbo Speed, Turbo Cannon and Turbo Invisibility so he could overwhelm Rex with various combos, not to mention that his flight mode is probably more aerodynamic.

so Max and steel could manage to overwhelm Rex after they see Rex's fighting Style.

The gap is not big in skill and the BFS can be dodged, especially when max has Speed amp, Clones and invisibility
