As said in the title, I'm suggesting we just have a single gallery for characters on the Marvel Verse Page, since there is ALOT of intersection between characters in Marvel, far more than DC for contrast. You have characters like Doctor Doom and Wolverine, eho fight everyone, and while there ARE character-section exclusives, they're lesser than the multi-rogues gallery characters (side effect of "everyone's in New York"). This has actually caused confusion for pagemakers in the past, even, with people like Cropfist even refusing to list the characters on the verse page.

This would entail ONE gallery on the verse page for characters, listing every character in the verse in alphabetical order, and no breaks.

This'll be a far faster method of listing, and honestly fits in with how Marvel tends to list these characters in handbooks, so it'll be more accomodating to unfamiliar users

I'm also open to taking "A-C", " D-G" and intervals like that, for even-ness

I much prefer to keep the page organised into sections, as it turns far too hard to overview for visitors otherwise.

I think separating it into alphabets is a good idea. A - C section, D - F section, etc.

But I do agree with the overall premise. I dislike seeing some of them put in one place, where they don't always belong. Like Genis Vell in villains section smh smh

I can agree, even a C Lister like Daimon Hellstrom could easily be put in 4-5 places. Although I don't despise the current listing or anything

Well, the page needs to be organised into sections somehow at least. It will turn too hard to navigate otherwise.

Alphabetical splits like Zark suggested would work. I mean honestly it'd be easier to navigate than the current one, after all it's not like one would know easily what section a character would be in right now.

Original Marvel Handbook was split like A, B-C, D-G, H-J, K-M, N-P, Q-S, T-U, V-Z.

We can do it reminiscent of that :y

Alphabetical splits can work, but it would be a lot of work to properly sort all of the characters in this manner.

I don't care in what way it's organised
The only benefit for alphabatical order is that it'd be easier to place new pages on the verse page so if you consider this enough of a reason to do this sure
Otherwise I don't care

I don't really like alphabetical order, it would make it look like a messy amount of character thrown in there.
It would be easier to look for a character, but at the cost of the page looking way worse, imho.

To solve the problem of characters interacting with different "groups", just stick with the one they are most commonly known to be part of.

Easier said than done, there are many characters so split across their appearances it'll be nigh-impossible to ascertain who belongs to who :v

And I think as much " messy" it may be, it is greatly reflective of the scale and scope of Marvel, and the various characters it has. To alot of people that's intriguing :y

So should we use alphabetical splits for every letter that is being used in the beginning of character names then?

Done.

I did the prior gallery fixes revision alongside this, so that's why some images are changed

Okay. Thank you for helping out. I will check.

It looks good to me. Thanks again for your work.

However, I noticed that the calculations section of the page has some links in bolded text and some links in regular text. That should probably be fixed in either direction.

Oh it's meant to showcase the primary scaling calc that way, because in the past people were confused which calc was the ones we use primarily

Aha. Isn't it best to place them at the top of each section as well then?

Okay. It seems more intuitive to me though.

See the issue is like, take for example 9-A, we have two different scaling chains in the tier, one for Bucky and co., and the other for the weaker Daredevil tier. If we're putting them at tope, it may give the illusion the two tiers are the same, when they're not.

High 8-C has this issue as well, that's why I don't list them the way you suggest, it'll lead to users getting the wrong idea :v

Okay. Never mind then.

Is there anything left to do here, or should we close this thread?

What does that emoticon mean?
