This is part 1 of "Maruo vs His Heroes". This is a tournament where i will be matching Maruo Kaido with his favorite characters from manga. I thought this tournament would be interesting to make since Maruo is evenly scaled with almost all of his favorite heroes besides Kenshiro, Joe Yabuki, Saitama and Taison Maeda.

I think Maruo would win due to his knowledge of everything about Goku including his fighting style, the kamehameha as well as the tactics he would use when he fights. This is still early young Goku who still has alot to learn and Maruo already knows everything that Goku will learn in the future due to reading all of the Dragonball manga and copying the same training methods he used. Goku's best chance would be his Kamehameha but Maruo could dodge it and i dont think a Kamehameha would keep Maruo down due to his supernatural willpower.
Goku has the AP advantage and significant Lifting strength advantage but he only uses the dragon throw mostly when he uses grapples. Maruo would be unable to use his own dragon throw since he's physically weaker but his knowledge of Goku should give him the victory.

Fights aren't this black and white though, you have to factor in how they fight. Goku doesn't use lifting strength much in his fighting style besides dragon throw which would only scale to his AP. However, He could stop Maruo from attempting to use Kinnikuman's wrestling moves or his own Dragon throw since he lacks the brute strength by alot. But the lifting strength wouldn't be the deciding factor, i think Goku would have to use the Kamehameha but Maruo can negate elemental projectiles from stronger opponents with higher AP with his fist due to his training with Ozunu
