Madness Combat Discussion Thread: Redeemer

Madness Day! You know what that means!!!

Nothing rlly. Newgrounds is down per usual, and CRTs here still SUCK.

Still got a lot of MD2025 stuff to see, but a lot of what I have seen has been super cool. Verdict's still out on best of show, but I know I'm happy to see more Hackerman. Few other animations since that collab, too; if I get to making profiles again I'll make sure to incorporate those bits for the FC/OC page.

Also finally got a good Jebus fan animation!

I was rewatching the Dedmos episodes and it made me wonder something, are we sure Deimos has Earth manipulation and it's not Doc helping him or something? He does seem to spawn one in an enemy once, but then in MC12 it seems like Doc is the one spawning rocks to trap Auditor using his hacking/tech or whatever (also I'm pretty sure he was the one who put the rocks on Deimos). Same goes for the chains

The chains seem a little too convenient for Deimos not to be doing it, but the rock manipulation yeah it might just be either the other place shenanigans or outside help. We’ve never seen Dedmos fighting outside of the other place so it’s hard to say what’s definitively going on with that stuff.

The rocks in the start that were merged with Deimos are definitely Doc's thing

I think a problem is that we haven't really discussed if stuff characters do in The Other Place applies to everywhere else. Dedmos' chains and rock stuff is done in the other place, but we never see him do it again (obviously cuz he hasn't been in a combat role for any episodes since his death and resurrection)

I have a funny feeling things like Tricky's High-Mid regen he has in The Other Place either only applies with his Improbability Drive being active or is something he can only do in The Other Place.

Which speaking of tricky's profile, something i need to do is separate his abilities he has from before activating it and post-activating it. he's essentially 100% different before and after activating it in MC5. (Besides stats)

I'm just gonna take the debunked calcs off the verse page then. plus that one Deimos one because nobody scales to it since it was done via weaponry that no one would scale to.

Edit; my predictions for everyone's tiering is slowly becoming real. the main cast becoming High 8-C is literally the only thing missing.
The verse's page is in general mad outdated, so it will be nice to have it cleaned

Yeah. power of the verse section is very outdated, especially due to The Auditor becoming 8-A and Low 1-C (and hopefully partially 1-A when The Machine gets a profile!!!!)

Also i checked if the game showed the aftermath of Mag Bandit destroying that ceiling, and unfortunately it doesn't show anything, so i have no idea if we can calc the size of the destruction based off anything.

I mean, based off the length of debris that fell it looks like it was the length of the room but idk if thats even reliable.

You can see the thickness of the celling through the debris but just about that

At least this still can be like a back up feat for Mag Bandit's power

yeah, more supporting evidence for his page that doesn't exist yet.

I think that burrowing pulv feat of Tricky from 9.5 is basically the best there is for anything worthwhile to calc.

Pretty much. Don't think it will get super high either, but still something noteworthy

Made a calc request.

Guess who FINALLY got a page after all this time?!?! Only took him 3 years!

I'm pretty sure that Scrapeface destroying a gun without touching is just a telekinesis and not Non-physical interaction. Non-physical interaction is listed on Nevadean physiology anyway

Also you probably can mention that he was able to scare Deimos and Sanford and argue scaling to them with this

Otherwise looks cool

I have to ask between this and the other non canon tests from Krinkels it seems that Hank is stronger than the semi Mags can we apply this to canon? I feel it's consistent enough.

I don't think we should take into account and we never see Hank fighting Half Mags in canon

Tried for fun to work on The Maker's page and 5 minutes in would rather paint my walls with my brain matter nvm. Neither The Maker and The Machine deserve my time atm.

I forgot to make this thread after me and reaper talked about it lol

Speed of Light madness combat is real. with the TAC-BAR

Characters with the TAC-BAR are capable of dodging Flashbangs point blank. pretty straightforward. You all win some SOL madness...

Pretty sure they also can dodge lasers with tac bars + shouldn't be this FTL?

Which lasers are they dodging? as far as im aware they scale to the photon lasers from the pistols to their base speed due to Nexus Soldats

Those yeah. There is also Gestalt dodging those but that is practically impossible to scale thanks to the angle
