Lupin III Discussion Thread (2)

I'm sure no one is going to answer this question, but... is there a reason why there hasn't been a Pachinko that has Part VI's or the IIIRD's character designs? They've been reusing the same designs in the 2000's specials and a combination of Parts IV and V.

Well, I guess they are pretty broke or greedy, but it's one of the big reasons why Lupin is profitable for TMS lol. Maybe they actually plan to use Part VI's designs for the 55th anniversary, given that they finally used Part V's designs for the first time in 2022 for the 50th anniversary. But despite that they can make new animations for The First Pachinko which surprised me that they're still not using the recent designs.

(Idk what sicko in the world would be talking about Lupin III Pachinko machines, but hey, I'm here. And I'm a real sicko.)

In addition to the Part 5 designs being the more iconic versions (blue jacket has basically become the new default for modern stuff), Part 6 Lupin also kinda isnt that good, i dont know how it was received in Japan but from my circles it is kinda the weakest part.

Plus, the part 6 designs aren't particularly unique. As across the board they are all pretty standard for the cast, with the only unique factors being Lupin's  specific color combo and Fujiko's catsuit. And even then Fujiko has been using those types of catsuits for a loooong time now so thats not really a factor either

I actually mess with the skin tones in Part VI, given Part V made them all pale as a ghost (despite Part V being my favourite part). But yeah, that's probably the only thing good about Part VI's designs. I think TMS made the right call in making Part V's designs the default of the modern era (although I think they use a combination of Part IV and V for Fujiko and a combination of Part V and Part VI for Zenigata).

It would fit so well if Heiwa ends up making a Koike-inspired Panchiko machine, as Koike's designs are way better, high-octane and more fitting as a whole to the manga as evil and gambling go together 🙂.

Also I'm really hoping the Immortal Bloodline releases tomorrow because that "Release date coming soon" icon is still there when I go over to Prime and it concerns me. I really can't wait to watch this movie again.

The Immortal Bloodline WILL release tomorrow! Finally!

I finally got to see Immortal Bloodline is genuinely peak, I wonder when it will be indexed in profiles

Immortal Bloodline finally came out so now I can actually progress with Lupin profiles.

If you want an idea of what I've been hyping up for the past half a year or so...... well here you go. Lupin III somehow survived.... WHATEVER THE HELL THAT WAS!
What kind of ****** up nuclear explosion its that?! Its looks like the time when Gogeta and Broly broken dimensions with their punches.

So, all that we know for a fact from this is that it's "Dr. Mullherts new theory" and that it's "a 4-D Drive Engine".

And, I'm going to be honest here, I found NO INFO ON EITHER OF THESE THINGS. So I am physically incapable of categorizing any of this beyond the pure visuals of it.

Which is to say.... yeah its time to kill the "At most" rating for the verse. We literally just saw an island with Lupin on it get erased from existence and he lived, the 3rd 'black hole' is more than enough to justify the ratings. (Btw, for added context, Lupin at this point was damn near blind, deaf, and had all of his other senses dulled to hell. So there's no shot he ran out of that blast radius for the like 30 or so minutes of leeway he'd get at best)

Yeah, I agree with getting rid of the "At most" island level, along with the fact that Muom is practically made of the island itself, as Lupin and the others can take multiple hits from him and live.

Also, I think Jigen's range increased when he nearly nailed Yael from across the ritual (by the smoke in the 5th picture) from his position across the way, even without using a scope. The question is how far? (Tens of Kilometers at most I'd say)

While Jigen and co's range has increased because of Yael, without calculations we cannot give it tens of kilometers.

Most impressive thing off rip is Yael sniping the plane out of the air and Jigen knowing that only he would've been able to snipe a plane like that from the island. The specific plane type has a max height of 5.88 kilometers, definite improvement from Zora's one kilometer status but nothing yet for a new category

Conan and Precure have a surprising crossover soon... and apparently one of the protags gets hit by Conan's tranquillizer dart. And it worked?!?! Idk what the scaling is for Precure, but Zenigata can walk off Conan's dart... (the crossover didn't release yet, so maybe they do walk off the dart. But if it worked effectively... then maybe increase Zenigata's endurance? 😂)
