Will Recluse one-shot due to Anchor's pitiful durability, or will Anchor's Spatial Manipulation prove too much to handle? Find out now, in my 7-C tourney.

Lord Recluse's AP will be interpreted as 7-C, about 4e13 to 8e13 Joules.

Trishula Anchor's AP calculation didn't have a specific end provided, so it'd be 3e13 to 6e13 Joules.

Speed will be equalised. Other than that, I'll be using Standard Battle Assumptions, so it will be somewhere in the Tens of Meters region since neither of their ranges are too specific.

Lord Recluse: 2 (@DaReaperMan, @Arkansalter2)

Trishula Anchor: 0

Inconclusive: 0

Splitting and stabbing, Lord Recluse decimates a ranger reliant on hax to perform any devilish deed to his dastardly plans.

Without expending half my brain power on more terrible word play, Lord Recluse resists Spatial Manipulation and fighting Lord Recluse in a Melee fight is a good way to get shredded because lo and behold, his skillwank even discounting the numerous instances of BS skill is pretty damn good. We're talking can fight Warhammer Fantasy and not get immediately wrecked good.

What kinda resistance feats does he have? Can you show them?

Going with Recluse here. Trishula doesn't really resist crap, while Recluse resists her main wincon (Spatial Manipulation).
Recluse, low diff.

I think it would be good to see the extent of Recluse's resistance; his profile doesn't elaborate much.

The resistance link leads to an alternative website. Unfortunately, I cba to look at it so I'll just wait for the one COH supp to pull up and explain.
Until then, my vote stays.

DT, pal, I'm not spending 2-4 hours making a character, leveling probably quite a bit, then trudging my ass over to Architect Entertainment, making an entire ass mission with Lord Recluse in it, and trying and failing to use the ability on him because AV Resistances basically makes all Domation pretty much impossible unless you vastly outlevel them. Lord Recluse is a 54-54 boss. You can never outlevel him.

Call me lazy, but scanning is something I rarely do at the best of times for a reason.

Just to be sure you know I'm not BSing you, Recluse's darkness, energy, life, and sound manipulation resistances aren't really that good, it's just lowering the damage he takes from those abilities by a chunk not being surrounded by a barrier those haxes can't get through. Basically: Damage power means lowered damage taken. Domination power means borderline immunity when it comes to that hax. Spatial Manipulation comes from a couple Domination powers.

Yeah, I still need you to be more specific. Resisting which exact powers is the reason for the resistance? What exactly does it do? Can I see the power? Does the resistance only apply to Recluse body or more? Does the attack deal damage aside from the spatial properties? Etc.

Edit: Also what are the details on that outleveling thing?

I know the powerset, but asking me to remember specific power names outside of what they are and what they're slotted into. In the case of Spatial Manipulation, it's Gravity Control, with a power called Dimension shift. Basically it's folding space like an omelett and taking no damage from the damage it does do for resisting it. Yes I did have to find this.
What exactly does it do? Can I see the power?
I uh... I sort of got carried away and answered this above.

have a guy a bit above 7 feet tall put his arms out and make a forcefield around himself with that distance. So a low-range more.

Yes. It does a little smashing damage in-game.

Levels in City of Heroes are "Security level", and it basically dictates what threats a given hero or villain is rated for from their deeds. Lord Recluse is level 54, Basically meaning he's rated for anything due to being a god-tier in the verse.

So the power is, to quote the page you linked:
This power folds space in an area, immobilizing and phasing all targets within the sphere. Enemies who enter the area become immobilized and phased for the duration of the effect. Allies who enter the sphere's area of effect will enter the phase as well, allowing them to combat phased enemies. Detoggling this power ends the effect, bringing the phased creatures back into the physical world.
Yeah, I don't think that is enough to say that he is immune against AnchoR erasing space altogether. Space is twisted and creatures are displaced (phased) in your technique, but that isn't a feat of being able to do anything when Space just ceases to exist or to prevent it from ceasing to exist. That's at best enough to say he resists her BFR and the space distortion damage she can deal. Then again, Dimension shift doesn't even sounds like it bends space enough to do damage...
Heck, AnchoR can break space so hard that she can move during time stop (well, technically orthogonal dimension of time).

In that case AnchoR's defensive space applications still function.

Three are notable.
First, as soon as she starts, space in the surroundings will turn into Jell-O.
AnchorSpaceDistortion.png
Which basically means that it is next to impossible to actually target any ranged attack on her. If you aim straight at her, the attack will actually go somewhere else.

Second, she can create shields of space distortion to block attacks. So even if you manage to target her, she can block.

Third, in case she can't react normally she can just... well, delete space around herself.

The scary thing is that AnchoR has literally infinite stamina, so she can spam those as much as she likes.

And that... determines whether abilities work? Sounds really weird. Like, how would one increase that?

I want to furthermore point out that between her Inorganic Physiology (Type 2) and her spatial stuff, a lot of Recluse technique probably don't really work on her. Could be quite useful to catch him off-guard.

You would be correct about the resistance not applying then...

But then, I point out something... something you actually said! this.

how does Trishula ever lose in a 5% margin to Kokken Sabi? Lord Recluse? He's tanked attacks for the hell of it, and on one occasion in the comics did it enough to where he lost, so that's his method of being a borderline case, but what's Trishula's excuse?

She can delete space from a distance, and the chances of a ranged attack based on air hitting is ridiculously low between the spatial distortion and the impassable barriers she can just throw up whenever.
And that... determines whether abilities work? Sounds really weird. Like, how would one increase that?
Doing shit and getting stronger. And yes, Security levels are canon and not just a game mechanic, Positron mentions them in an in-game interview.

I mean if it gets to Melee, Lord Recluse has fought folks with forcefields, and robots are like.. nothing new in City of Heroes. One of the damn Freedom Phalanx is a robot.
