Hey everybody. I'm back.
This is another big verse revision, but instead of going out of manga (like Adventure Time),
I'm gonna be tackling Yu Yu Hakusho.

Like I did for AT, I did the same here, a huge sandbox of info.

Class System

Yu Yu Hakusho has a Class system, ranging from E Class to S Class demons.
The full list of classes acknowledged by the Yu Yu Hakusho wiki and the canon series, which we will tweak a little, is this.
Lower Class E, Class E, Upper Class E,
Lower Class D, Class D, Upper Class D,
Lower Class C, Class C, Upper Class C,
Lower Class B, Class B, Upper Class B,
Lower Class A, Class A, Upper Class A,
Lower Class S, Class S, Upper Class S.

The classes are first mentioned in 118, spoken of in 119, and breathed on in 138.

Each class is astronomically superior to the previous class. There's a lowballed AP, lifting strength, dura, speed, intelligence, and everything for the specific classes.

Now we have an Issue

Now the issue is that this was introduced 2/3rds of the series deep. 117 chapters went by without us knowing of classes, which mean that a vast majority of the characters don't have their classes stated, which means we have to tell via massive implications the ranks of many characters.

A method to find out what classes some demons, humans, and spirits are will be here below.

E Class

E Class Demons are just... super weak demons. Weaker than the average demon.

The Fugaki are super weak demons. The lowest class of residents in Demon City. They would be Lower E Class.
The worms in the Saint Beasts saga. Lower E.
The bugs flying around in the Black Chapter arc. Lower E. Support? They're called lesser demons.
The fish from the demon world that Rando summoned. Lower E.
Yusuke after his Suzaku fight was so weak that he was weaker than the average human, but copies of Yusuke and Kuwabara were stated by Hiei to be weaker. Lower E.
Heck, Yusuke could barely stand up. A 5 minute walk took 30.

Higher E Class people would be those in the early stages who have even a deep breath over regular humans.
Genkai Tourney Kuwabara is one of them. When he first comes he is just awakening his powers.
Those who passed Genkai's test with a 120 or higher would be in that bracket.

D Class

A vast majority of creatures fit the D Class.

It's revealed at the end of the series that a bunch of D Class demons were kidnapped by King Enma and brainwashed to commit crimes.
These were the creatures in the beginning of the series who committed crimes and were given jail sentences.
Hiei was one of them. In fact he was an Upper D Class.
Yusuke's job as the Spirit Detective was to capture these demons and solve the crimes. It's also pretty much implied that the guys he captured were the ones.
So basically, early in the series, prior to Genkai's tournament arc, Yusuke is fighting D Class demons.

Most D Class demons lack humanoid appearances. Jyaki, Gouki, Genbu (who's seen as an underling to the Saint Beasts), Byakko, and many more.
They're also brutes who rely on physical strength instead of technique. You can see the difference between them.

Those who have good control of their reiki/youki outside of "big muscle punch" are probably capable of fitting in that category.

The category isn't limited to early BOS though, as it's confirmed that Hiei in the beginning of the Dark Tournament was a D Class, which means that even the likes of Seiryu (who lacks a human appearance like Kurama says) is a D Class demon, and everyone else inferior to Hiei fits as well.

Demons who started off at higher levels and were brought down to D Class (like how Hiei and Kurama went from A Class to D Class) don't fit these standards, as they wouldn't change appearance or intelligence due to losing their Youki.

C Class

C Class demons are the ones who vastly overpower the D Class demons and even the Upper D Class demons. They have great control of their Youki and can manipulate it better than D Class Psychics who don't even have control of the basics.

They have more intelligence, skill, and battle strength.

Rando is an amazing example of a C Class Demon. Specifically a Lower C Class Demon.
Yusuke could sense Hiei's Youki, an Upper D Class demon, with the Demon Compass. Sensing Rando's Youki exploded the Compass because his Youki was too potent.
Yusuke says that his Youki isn't any run-of-the-mill demon aura.
Rando is skilled enough with his Youki to create threads made of Youki.
He's even known as a demon of extraordinary power and ambition.

Human like demons, who show much more intelligence and skill with their techniques (Suzaku, Chu, Zeru, Rinku, etc.) should be C Class demons.

The demons in the Dark Tournament, the "strongest and most skilled" (making them far above the fodder demons in the early arcs) should be C Class demons as well, consistent as they have human appearances.

B Class

B Class Demons are the higher class demons of the dark tournament.
Hiei before the end of the tournament gained B Class power while Toguro was a B Class demon. An Upper B Class demon in fact.
Itsuki was a Lower B Class demon. Sensui was much stronger.

Their powers literally transcend the power of an inferior class, as Kurama couldn't even sense or see Karasu's power because he was too weak, a mechanic known to even the lower class demons, having a large gap between demons makes your energy invisible.
Bui could match Hiei's dragon (the B Class Dragon), making him B Class.

Elder Toguro and Younger Toguro are superior to Bui and Karasu.

B Class Demons were restricted from traveling through the borders because they were too strong. Itsuki and lower level Sensui would be B Class as they couldn't cross.

A Class

A Class Demons are the demons stuck behind the border alongside the S Class demons because they're too strong.

They excel over the B Class demons to the point where a single A Class Demon is superior to an entire horde of B Class Demons.

They're seen as beings of legend and myth. Creatures that have been worshipped and looked upon as tales. Much superior in intelligence than their B and C class counterparts. The Yoko Kurama, King Enma, and much more.

Hiei and Kurama used to be A Class demons.
Hiei especially when he was extremely young.
They regained their strength after heavy emotional turmoil.

They keep the appearance detail as well, but to an extreme extent. Genetics. Only A Class Demons and higher are capable of reproducing with humans.

S Class

This one is simple.

S Class demons are the strongest creatures in the series. They're the ones that the underworld can't handle.

They're so strong that they're not even allowed to go full power in the human world because they could destroy the planet, so they need to hold back to ridiculous extremes. Them not holding back is only allowed in places much stronger, like the demon realm.

Those who have a higher Power Level than Hokushin are S Class.
Hokushin is an S Class demon. He says that he would easily defeat Yusuke, who's an S Class demon. Yusuke could fight against Sensui and be his equal, who's an S Class demon.

Kurama's 6 recruits who have TPs of 50,000 are S Class. Later they touch 100,000. They're higher into S Class.
Kurama has a TP of 152,000. He's S Class.

The Upper S Class demons are the ones vastly above the lower and mid end ones, like Raizen and the other 3 Kings.
All of Raizen's partners are equal to Yomi, making them all Upper S Class.

The S Class demons are seen as mere sparks next to the infernos of the kings. Showing how big the gap is.
Yusuke blitzed and one shot 48 different A to S Class demons.
A Class Demons were seen as mere foot soldiers in the deep depths of the Demon World, to the point of where Mukuro used them to test Hiei and he slaughtered them.
2 S Class demons fighting can kill A Class demons just by their presence alone and qualify that as "collateral damage".
Yusuke, a relatively low class S Class demon, is many orders of magnitude above anything that the SDF (who can defeat even peak A Class demons) has ever seen.

S Class demons are the big dogs. They're the easiest to quantify.

Ki Scaling

Ki is the fundamental basis for the Spirit Classes. As it's based off of will and emotions, the weaker your mind is, the weaker your will is, the weaker your spiritual fortitude is.

Having superior Ki is tied to being in a superior class.

Please note that having superior Ki doesn't mean you're in a superior class, but being in a superior class means that you have superior Ki. Squares and Rectangles.

Difference in Classes

Advancing a class makes a person drastically stronger.
Kurama and Hiei (and Kuwabara) were stated to have gotten sharper and stronger after they grew a class.
Higher class demons are stronger and smarter than lower class demons. The difference in intelligence is massive.
C Class Demons in the Demon World were ready to eat up the earth, while the B Class Demons stayed to wait.
Strengthening your Ki makes it invisible to inferior classes.

Basically, in all categories, they're superior.

Conclusion

Because it's hard to quantify a lot of the characters' classes, these will be the methods to do so.

Looks good to me. Great job! This also introduces layers of intangibility and invisibility correct?

Also Sensui reminds me of Geto from JJK. Gege must have gotten inspiration from Sensui.. their ideals are similar iirc.

Sandbox seems to follow the same format as the adventure time one's so its easy to understand and while there is discussion to be had this does look like great start and most I don't imagine should have contentious placements

Invis yeah, intan nah

Gege quoted the first spirit detective b4 in JJK so maybe

I mean, do you have at least references? Would make your job easier, if you put everything there.
To be fair that blog features several dozens of characters with whole list of feats organized for specifc stats that each have feats with full descriptions under them that will take a hell of a lot of time if you're expecting it to be done for this CRT

This looks good and has my approval.
Also, let's not forgot that not only can even the weakest S Class demon wipe all life using a fraction of their power just by standing, but the strongest S Class demon has an even bigger gap in power between that and the lowest S Class demon than how big a gap between the lowest S Class Demon is to the lowest E Class demon.

It has the chapter next to each one, which is pretty much good enough. Don’t really need specific page numbers

Exactly

Just letting yall know the plans now

For each tier, there will (hopefully) be a specific value for each stat in those tiers, derived by either calculations, multipliers, upscaling, backscaling, energy statements, or anything of those natures.

For example.

Lower C Class Characters would automatically be granted
  • 2 Tons
  • Mach 233
  • 2,003 kgf
Lower S Class Characters would automatically be granted
  • 2 Petatons
  • Mach 1953
  • 689,456,153 kgf

The only thing I care is how we deal with manga and anime differences since it is agreed to separate manga profiles and anime profiles.
Gotcha

As this has been accepted, this will set the foundation of the future scaling of the Yu Yu Hakusho profiles.

Thank you everybody, closing
