I mean, he can make hundreds of clones and could tie Sasuke up (who has 8-B ap and class 10 lifting strenght) so even if he can't hurt the dude, he just ties him up.

Ties him up with what? Regardless, Sasuke was caught completely off guard and he broke out of it in barely any time at all and it's pretty apparent that if Sasuke wasn't completely caught off guard that Naruto would never have been able to do that, he's clearly stronger than Naruto at this point. Naruto can make 1000 clonses plus, Mugen isn't taking him out fast.
Wire is stuff all ninja seem to have with them (when the plot needs it, but that is true for all ninja weapons).
Sasuke specifically mentions that he broke out because it's taught to ninja how to escape such things, not because he broke it with raw power.

Has Land of Waves Naruto ever actually used wire or shown to have it as part of his standard ninja tools? You're acting like standard ninja tools are the same for everybody, which it isn't, there's no defined list for what it includes. If Naruto hasn't been shown to carry something on him as part of his standard equipment then he doesn't get it. Naruto can make clones but then he'd just be weakening himself because of it, Naruto can't hurt Mugen at his best (To my knowledge), splitting his power isn't going to help at all. You're also ignoring the fact that Naruto has never even tried to tie somebody up in a battle, the context for why he did so against Sasuke is because he was trying to impersonate him.Ricsi-viragosi said:

He literally pulled them out casually against Sasuke. They were in the academy, so he obvisouly didn't head home for that, and he only decided to do his stunt after the accident in the morning. While there could be wire around the academy, it's not really a strech to assume that he has an item that other ninja have shown to carry around.
Naruto's kunai and such can cut Sasuke and stronger ninja with ease, and he did start against Kakashi by trying to throw a kunai, too.
Making clones does not weaken him. The only weakness that comes with making clones is splitting up chakra, but he doesn't have any other jutsu that he would need to use for that jutsu. Each clone is as strong physically as he is, and while durability is unclear Shadow Clones have been shown to take being stabbed through the hand and later even taking sucker punches sometimes. Naruto had to specifically disperse them while they were beating each other up, too.
And I am not ignoring it. I am saying that he uses his brain for difficult fights eventually, and by the time Mugen goes through half of his clones, Naruto will already have had plenty time to realize that clones alone aren't working.
