Kirby Vs. Paper Mario (With Crystal Stars)

Can Mario's power null take out Kirby's normal powers, how about items, can it prevent Kirby from keep using abilities once in base?
 
According to the Super Mario Wiki, the Star Beam nullifies status conditions like, "Electrified" (it's not paralysis), "Invisibility", and Bowser's Star Rod Invincibility. I'm not sure if they would affect Kirby's Copy Abilities. It might just affect items, like the Invincibility Candy.
