If I'm being honest, most of these villains are more "iconic" than "good" imo, but that's just me

I like the demon species in Frieren. There's an explanation for their behavior in universe—they're a species that has sentience but not a human emotional spectrumThe problem is that Frieza is the exception, not the rule, and I'd argue nostalgia also plays a role in Frieza's beloved status. You'd be hard-pressed to find a good villain that's just evil for the sake of being evil. Fleshed-out motives simply work better more often than not
All For One (My Hero), Goto (Parasyte), Satō (Ajin: Demi-Human), Dio Brando/DIO (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), Garou (One Punch Man), The Strangers (The Strangers), The Lich (Adventure Time), Naraku (Inuyasha), Terry Silver (The Karate Kid Part III, Cobra Kai), Walter White/Heisenberg (Breaking Bad), Hannibal Lecter (Silence of the Lambs, etc.).You'd be hard-pressed to find a good villain that's just evil for the sake of being evil.
I don't think Garou fits the scenario...All For One (My Hero), Goto (Parasyte), Satō (Ajin: Demi-Human), Dio Brando/DIO (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), Garou (One Punch Man), The Strangers (The Strangers), The Lich (Adventure Time), Naraku (Inuyasha), Terry Silver (The Karate Kid Part III, Cobra Kai), Walter White/Heisenberg (Breaking Bad), Hannibal Lecter (Silence of the Lambs, etc.).
To drive the point home, demons in the Frieren world are specifically noted to be human-like beasts with sentience and intelligence. They have a power-based social hierarchy, and view humans as prey because they're apex predatorsThat can work, and I like them myself. The idea of a villain that's mainly a villain because they are fundamentally, inherently incapable of having a moral compass can lead to interesting things.
Don't know a number of these, but for the ones I do know:All For One (My Hero), Goto (Parasyte), Satō (Ajin: Demi-Human), Dio Brando/DIO (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), Garou (One Punch Man), The Strangers (The Strangers), The Lich (Adventure Time), Naraku (Inuyasha), Terry Silver (The Karate Kid Part III, Cobra Kai), Walter White/Heisenberg (Breaking Bad), Hannibal Lecter (Silence of the Lambs, etc.).
No idea about the Yuji thing but the thing that links on Todo's profile is specifically talking about strength without cursed energy, so Todo's 8-B+ wouldn't scale since that's with cursed energyWhy is Pre Awakening Maki At most 8-C when her profiles states her to be comparable to Yuji, and Todo's profile places her as comparable to above him?
Makes him more interesting ngl.Shigaraki kinda got ruined these days. Cant tell if he is good or not anymore
Yuji without CE*Why is Pre Awakening Maki At most 8-C when her profiles states her to be comparable to Yuji, and Todo's profile places her as comparable to above him?
VSBW is never beating the reading comprehension allegations ongSomehow, I have read it as hot take
"Naruto ending was bad" "Seinens are better" "Sukuna>Gojo"Not even true, and even so, common takes aren't always necessarily good...

I'm schoked with that comment so now I shall sleep and come back in three monthsMakes him more interesting ngl.

Wow. What is even wrong?? My fault Shigaraki got some herbs, some spice, some sauce, some ingredients. Unlike that finger cannibal boyI'm schoked with that comment so now I shall sleep and come back in three months
Villains who are evil for the sake of being evil can still be good villains through many things such their dynamics with the heroes, their personality, their aura, etc.The problem is that Frieza is the exception, not the rule, and I'd argue nostalgia also plays a role in Frieza's beloved status. True. But Sukuna's one of those new gen villains whose aura and personality get overhyped, like most.Villains who are evil for the sake of being evil can still be good villains through many things such their dynamics with the heroes, their personality, their aura, etc.
Yeah, I heavily agree. I personally believe Mahito was a better villain than him.True. But Sukuna's one of those new gen villains whose aura and personality get overhyped, like most.
Yeah, I'm definitely not saying it's impossible. But, for example, Sukuna's not that great a villain imoVillains who are evil for the sake of being evil can still be good villains through many things such their dynamics with the heroes, their personality, their aura, etc.

Sukuna was most well done when he narratively functioned as a ticking time bombYeah, I'm definitely not saying it's impossible. But, for example, Sukuna's not that great a villain imo
Evolto (Kamen Rider Series), Gathanothor/Dark Zagi/Greeza (Ultraman series), Christoper Columbus (FGO), The Sanguinarch (Arknights)You'd be hard-pressed to find a good villain that's just evil for the sake of being evil. Fleshed-out motives simply work better more often than not
Yeah, it's the man himselfChristopher Columbus? What the **** is Fate doing?
Be happy that he isn't gender swapped, a FATE befalling too manyChristopher Columbus? What the **** is Fate doing?
