I’m like, 90% sure that being ranged and also being able to one shot with lethal blows(which he isn’t adverse to) hard counters a lot of that

Only lethal blow that really matters here is a headshot
even with speed equalized, ranged attacks are by nature easier to react to, and he can protect himself further with life giving so
