Joji Joestar vs Giorno Giovanna

"Then what stops GER from still winning?

What people here doesn't seem to get is that Beyond isn't an instant win button. Joji has to do something for it to start working. That something he can't do if GER keeps resetting his stuff."

I mean, if this is legit, then Joji can't do anything to anyone else on the 10-A list.

Has anyone here actually read the Jojo novels?

If Joji needing to do something for Beyond to start doing his plot stuff is true then this should probably go to Giorno since he can null his actions.

Joji is gonna go back to being a part of just Jojo characters

@YungManzi

That is his weakness, yes. He needs to believe in Beyond, and do... Something, depending on "the plot" at the time. Beyond then will start influencing it to go in his favor.

In the novel, since it's a "detective's narrative", Joji needed to believe in Beyond and solve the mystery, that being the assassination of Kira Yoshikage, his friend Shukujumuku, and later on, how to defeat DIO. What Beyond did was tipping the plot in Joji's favor to always arrive where he needed to be at the exact time he needed to. However, if Joji didn't actively searched for clues, Beyond couldn't do anything to help him solve the case.

I read Jorge Joestar multiple times, yes.

Oh, I see. Just out of curiosity, does beyond actually null attacks that would kill/defeat Joji? It was something that was a really important factor in other matches but I do not see any kind of power null listed on his profile (although his second weakness is not listed either so--).

Anyways, with this knowlege of Joji's weakness I'll vote for Girono given that GER can just keep nulling Joji's action not allowing him to reach the reality which the plot should reach if Joji could actively seek it. With this he should be able to put him on a death loop similar to Diavolo or just one shot him.

The Beyond basically works sorta like how supernatural luck would work, but instead it's a High 2-A god manipulating the plot. He doesn't come down and do things for him, rather just makes "things" happen for Joji.

Best example is when Jorge was captured by Dio and basically he hoped the sun would rise in order to stop Dio, and in the most convenient moment the sun rises and burns Dio sparing Jorge.

@Ogbunabali

"Burns Dio sparing Jorge"

I think you are misremembering that. I believe you are referring to a scene with Antonio Torres, one of DIO's henchmen. DIO was immune to the sun since he drank Kars' blood.

@Abyss

No, Beyond doesn't null attacks. Several times Joji almost died. What kept him alive, tho, was pure convenience and furthering of the narrative and plot: his encounter with Kars is the ultimate (ovo) example.

"But then Dio yelled, "Arghhhh! This is bad! The sunlight doesn't hurt that much!"

It did hurt him enough though, he wasn't completely immune.

Well Causality Hax is currently not passive in equalised speed meaning it could possibly get bypassed via Beyond having GER distracted by something
