Yeah, except in the novel. Fake Kars gored funny yet d4c left the gored funny flew like hundreds of meters and attached himself on the funny with joji.

Even if it visualizes from time to time, but the ability comes from the eye on the steel ball. Even if it is a stand, it doesn't seem to be tied to scan, as it even manifests when no one who can use scan is around

Scan comes from the thing explicitly called a stand man. The fact the thing shows up when he uses scan .

The "angel" spawned when Gyro didn't even have the eye the first time. Since we know abilities aren't explicity tied to the parts themselves, they are tied to the hosts, we know that it exists part from Gyro. The thing is spawned i before Gyro everObtained scan, The Eyes are used with Diego just holding the eyes and is present long after he loses the ability. The "angel" may be a stand, but it is not Gyro's nor is the body of the angel directly tied to the power. It showed up a single out of the many times he used it and it served him no purpose. Funny how that works.

Well yeah. Yet none of that changes the fact scam is granted via stand . Gyro owns half the stand (as Diego had the other half, shown when gyro litterally only had half the stand, like half the body was gone).
Not quite, Diego kept the stand as it become one with him just like tusk with Johnny. Yet gyro lost scan when he lost the eye, as he had it no where near as long. The powers in question do in fact tie into the eye which ties into the stand. Stand left then gyro lost scan . Simple as that.
Never said the guardian was gyros stand. Just that the guardian was a stand and thus scan is as scan is a by product of the guardian. Maybe not stand but stand power.
