Jiren's weaknesses

80
5
It has a lot of confidence in himself so he waits for his rivals to complete his techniques as it look when he let Goku complete the Genkidama, he does not give importance to beings weaker than him.

Sin título-1
Jiren waits for Goku's Genkidama

Sin título-2
Jiren begins to meditate

If was a good idea but it did not work because 2 members of universe 3 attacked him without success and if the Genkidama had been more powerful than him, he could not have stopped it and would have lost because of his overconfidence.

Yeah, that's true he's infinity+infinity higher (High 3-A Is infintly higher than 3-A, and he's infinitly higher than high 3-A, that's two infinites actually).

Yeah, but if he wasn't a cocky moron he would just unleash his full power and blow everyone off the stage except him. Knock your teammates off? Who cares. You're the only one left and you win.

He was specifically ordered by Vermoud to crush Son Goku and ignore the fodder, so it's not like you can assume he is the one that's cocky.

Who knows, maybe he thinks Toppo can handle the rest, probably can honestly.
He has no reason not to instantly win though. He wants to leave it to Toppo... why? To preserve his ego/warrior mentality? You are fighting for the existence of your universe and you saw someone who has a transformation that can rival you! Just win and be done with it. Ik it is probably PIS, but he is still crazy cocky for not just winning.

Doesn't change the fact he planned ahead.
Also he could've dodged, like the dude's fast enough, he took it because he knew he could.
I do not deny that he planned it in advance or that he could dodge it, what I'm saying is that his overconfidence can be taken as a weakness, because he did not even know what the power and speed of the Genkidama was and he received it trusting that he could stop it and if the attack would have been more powerful and swift would have received considerable damage without the possibility of dodging it.

The problem with that is, he can sense the energy of it. Frieza on namek couldn't because he didn't know how, kid buu started ******** himself and used.vegeta as a hostage. Jiren would know.

He doesn't appear to have any physical weaknesses, unlike the rest of the Z-Fighters and their inability to breathe in the vacuum of space.

Now that I think about it, him not instantly kicking the shit out of everyone is good. He stayed backed and watched to see what everyone was capable of, before doing anything.

He is not overconfident to the point he is going to let everyone get a free shot at him, specially if his opponent has techniques he doesn't know about.

He didn't allow Hit to get freeshots on him like he did with goku, the only time he gets struck in that match is because Hit genuinely outskilled him for an instant.

Jiren then really has no weaknesses, unless you count his lack of hax as one. His intelligence and wisdom possibly exceeds that of any God of Destruction and he has precognition to boot.

And yet he is willing to let the time run out while his team doesn't have enough members to win without knocking enemies off.

Something could change. A whacky power could be revealed. Goku could get UI back and be even stronger than before. This is a universe-survival tournament, not a sporting event.

Well then who's the smart guy now when Jiren doesn't insta win? If he wasn't an egotistical idiot he would knock everyone off right now when no one can contest him. His pride is incredibly blinding and that is justification enough to give him to "arrogant" weakness.

That'd make sense if he didn't spent the first half analysing and gauging his opponents strength.

Knew Goku's powers and limits and let him do the spirit bomb to break everyone's will , and if the spirit was too much? Hed sense it and avoid it.

Lastly he's meditating, to presumably reserve stamina in case he's needed, because as it is, he's not needed.

(Also winning the tournament in like 5 seconds is sure to piss off zeno, and considering the grand priest said they have to fight untill it's over and no time is left, that could also be a reason, plus he's taking direct orders from Belmond, it's his call for the most part).

He has to act stupid somehow so he would lose and our heroes would survive. If he doesn't have a physical weaknesses, isn't beaten by hax, or Goku doesn't beat him with Ultra Instinct, then PIS is the only way.

Oh yeah I forgot he is taking orders from Belmond. He should at least eliminate Goku though, considering he knows he has UI. I guess the plot is protecting him though, so it isn't really Jiren acting dumb, just Belmond being limited by plot.

Could easily because the moment everyone thought he took out Goku, the grand pruest was like cut the shit, continue fighting and there shall be no stopping till the time is over. If Jiren suddenly went and cleaned up itd be iver before the time is up, which is sure to piss off the 3 people they shouldn't piss off so he's meditating reserving stamina untill he is needed again.

As for the first half? Analyzing his opponents for potential threats (Plus if he instantly went all out without gauging them hed kill everyone). Jiren stepped in against threats he deemed worthy too (took out the blue dude and saved Dyspo, and ohkoed Kale since she was a threat before she could react), everything else was following Belmond (who even told him to reserve stamina).

Yeah I realize now that keeping the Zen'os passive and happy is the best course of action. Still Belmond has no reason not to tell Jiren to at least go and take out Goku. Although I wonder if the Zen'os would be entertained if Jiren instantly cleaned house and knocked everyone off.

Probably be entertained before realizing the tournament was cut in half and then punt Belmond into orbit for cutting the fun.

Goku is one of the strongest fighters in the tournament. If you have Jiren immediately take out Goku, and everyone is a let down then I'm sure Zen'o would erase the winners because of some childish reason. So no,Jiren does NOT have an arrogance problem and is making sure he doesn't break any rules (If he hit everyone in an AoE super blast then he might kill the weaker characters) and playing it smart (conserving stamina and keeping the Zen'os appeased by dragging out awesome fights)

@Akreious

This comment is rationalization incarnate. Goku is protected by plot armor, nothing more. Zen'o has already been impressed by weaker fighters and was very entertained by the likes of Dyspo and Caulifla. Also he doesn't need to use a possibly lethal AoE, he is easily fast enough to knock off everyone with a single-targeted non-lethal attack before they could blink.

To be fair, he didn't know that, the first part of the tourney was him gauging everyone's strength.

And in the middle of him actually taking out someone grand priest was like nah.

Better safe than sorry. Better to make sure that Zen'o is TOTALLY entertained rather than that chance of lesser entertainment and risk his universe's erasure. Better to make sure that you don't kill everyone which is against the rules. Is it possible to summon Cal here?

As for the genki dama thing, that was to break the will of the other fighters, which instead shows thinking ahead rather than a weakness
Actually the clown god says thats his style, and that he lets his opponents use their strongest moves then crushes them.

Kale was on berserk so there was really nothing to wait for she was doing random things. Kuji was attacking his teammate so he wanted to take care of him. He could of one shot Hit, but instead didn't until Hit used everything he had.

Though I don't think that's a weakness. He can sense their ki and for so knows their limit so there was no need for him to one shot if he wants to have some fun first.

That said leaving Goku in peace instead of taking him down is seriously stupid...

I would not be surprised if this show did something as stupid as that.
