The only thing Jiren has going for him here is Belmod stating Jiren is a warrior who will never lose no matter who he faces and then looking at Marcarita. That's not enough to swing this in his favor given that the angels have been consistently and explicitly shown and stated to be far above the gods of destruction and thus anyone comparable (Jiren).
