Cyborg Ninja vs Cyborg Samurai

Battle Location:
the front of World Marshall HQ

Of course both are High 7-C

Speed is equalised

So who wins? Monsoon or Sam?

I think I'll go with Sam on this. When Monsoon starts doing his body splitting Sam would most likely pull out the EMP grenade and then chop him up with the Murasama.

Sam's overall a more impressive warrior, isn't he? He just has to make sure to avoid getting hit too many times during the fight, which I think he prolly could. If they neg dura, then either of them hitting the other would prove severely harmful, and Sam is just generally shown as having more impressive skill feats from what I recall.

Lmfao, hook, line, and sinker!

Regardless of me dicking around, yeah, Sam using a sword and having a far over 10x attack amp will definitely let him do shit lol

being able to slice through Armstrong's arm before his nanomachines could get to it, which Raiden with the BM+RM Was entirely unable to do, aka it's at bare minimum equal to Monsoon's seperation
That’s speed not an attack amp
either way it’s still relative in speed so there’s really no way to know if he’d be able to dodge QuickDraw or not
but it’s not like he can just QuickDraw over and over without leaving himself vulnerable, and monsoon still has a range, stealth, and AP advantage

I'm going with Sam at that one by his feats. There is an video that serves as support material, showing Sam's feats and powerscaling:

That guys video is pure wank. He uses such wired logic to make him MFTL and his scaling of all the metal gears being able to survive nukes so Sam cutting a MG Ray in two makes him Mountain level?

The Ray Laser Dodge is still considered and Outlier.

Even though a Metal Gears purpose is to be able to avoid getting hit by a nuke in the first place. And MGs like Sah and Peace Walker have literal self destruction sequences that kind of show that Metal Gears can’t survive direct Nuclear Detonations.

though now MGRR has City Level scaling it’s just not in the same way he presented ot

But there is not an solid thing to say that he is wrong. For me is still right saying that. Plus he said combat speed, not travel speed. The calculations are exactly that, you don't need to destroy a city to be city level. Powerscaling is all calculation and analysis. Opinions are opinions, and mine is that the video is right.

I thought this thread died lol

Also, just a thought but,
Raiden defeated Monsoon, and then would go on to lose badly to Armstrong for the first half of that fight after arguably getting better.

Sam, meanwhile, was able to keep pace with and fight against Armstrong pretty well.

Of course, part of the work is being done by the Blade's Dura Neg/Power of whatever it is it has, and Armstrong may have been holding back against Sam, but just food for thought.

You have a point, imo armstrong was holding back, but talking about the fight, monsoon has lack of feats, having just one fight in the whole game. While Sam showed more in battles. That is one of the things that i think that make Sam winning.

Sam has lower AP, but The Murasama should make up for that. He also doesn't have any of his equipment restricted, so he has the EMPs needed to **** up Monsoons magnetic evasion powers.

Overall I see Sam edging out with his superior skill, speed amps (Blade Mode and Laido), and equipment.

That may or may not get nuked for the future FTL scaling coming out in 12 years.
Yeah I was wondering when that was gonna happen though it is very easy to call it an outlier. I think the current scaling is better cause if we go by the EMP calc Raiden has FTL travel speed. The kinetic energy calc while completely reliant on found speed is still less of an outlier than the EMP.

Anyway no derailing

This probably goes to Monsoon since he scales to a stronger Raiden. Like you guys said Sam has his supa-slash which could tag Monsoon but he can't spam that shit, Monsoon can and does spam his splitting body parts so my vote goes to Monsoon

Also even without splitting Monsoon can tank tons of slashes from Ripper Raiden and since Sam with Murasama was equal to base Raiden who we know is somewhere around half the strength of Ripper mode I think that Monsoons AP gap makes it to where he can edge this out unless Sam just spams EMP grenades which doesn't seem in character for him to do
