I'm not that knowledgeable about Markus Kruber or about Warhammer but I am knowledgeable about Jaune and from what I can read in Markus's page, I do believe that he would win as a Footknight would win due to a having more ways to attack Jaune through his Bombs and the other weapons he can use and his ability to maintain a constant heal with potions. Markus should also be more skilled compared to Jaune as Jaune is considered to be below most of the RWBY cast in skill.

Ranged weapons do kind of screw Jaune over a bit here, as it does give Markus more options to take him out with while Jaune can only use melee combat, which Markus also exceptionally excels at in addition to ranged fighting. For weapon variety, range advantage and comparable, if not superior, skill, I vote Kruber.

Jaune could probably into closer quarters and grapple him with superior Lifting Strength, but if Markus' ranged stuff is too much, those can be restricted

True, but Markus's passive Damage Reduction sort of takes care of that. Jaune isn't a grappler anyway, he is a swordsman, and I don't know why people assume that just because someone has a higher LS that they would immediately go in for grappling.\

Markus's ranged options don't make this a stomp, but it definitely drives the match further into his favor. Jaune has wincons, after all. My vote is for Markus.
