Insect Brackets Round 3: Red-Headed Centipede vs Cicada Killer Wasp

The wasp should win due to flight, sting then run away. While the centipede is limited to biting and no flight
I think you put way too much value on flight. This is a melee fight, and the centipede's poison can take down MICE, while the wasp can only kill other small insects with it from what I've seen.

Actually, the wasps venom only paralyzed the insect in the video, so I think it dies to the centipede's venom before it can finish it off.

The flying insect can paralyze with it's superior mobility and avoid attacks and getting poisoned, then when the centipede is paralyzed it kill it.

Centipedes are natural predators of wasps, and red-headed centipedes hunt rodents, frogs, and lizards, so I don't think the centipede is completely outmatched here. Although I can't really find any info on how frail cicadas are, centipedes are noted to have strong exoskeletons/chitin, so maybe it'll be hard for the wasp to get a good sting in.
it also turns out that centipedes are innately immune to their own venom but since it isnt on their profile this isnt a wincon atm

wasps aren't limited to cicada's only, all it needs to do is sting once and dip, and it can do that easily because it's far more mobile and can fly.
It literaly said that in it's profile "can paralyze cicadas" beber is said that can paralyze other beings, and even if it can, they would need tô be somehere the sise of a, guess what, A CICADA

I doubt the paralysis works exclusively on cicadas it would probably work on other similar insects too
thought size might be an issue as you mentioned

what's the top of type 2 though?
man the small size page really needs to get more specific
It only gives maximums, but this should still let us determine the range.
Type 3 ends at one millimeter, and type 2 ends at 50 centimeters.

So the total range of type 2 logically is 1mm-50cm.
That means the difference could be about 500x.
