inFAMOUS Speed Revision

There should probably be better justification for inFAMOUS's movement speed.

Cole MacGrath

He should have specified speeds

On foot: Subsonic+

Cole, while on foot in game, has managed to outpace humans fleeing for their lives and later on can outrun swamp monsters who can easily cross large distances in a single bound and can blitz the Militia. Cole also managed to jump out of the way of a cruise missile at the last second. Cole also managed to run along a sinking ship and make this impressive jump, though he did have help from him Static Thrusters.

The missile he dodged closely resembled this short range US cruise missile

He never managed to keep pace with Kessler though. In fact, if you try to melter Kessler in game, he'll just zip away before you can get to him.

While using Induction Grind: Supersonic

Cole's movement speed while he is grinding on a wire should probably be bumped down Supersonic. The reason being he only has one calculated feat of him moving at supersonic speeds.

He never kept pace with a bomber jet in game or in a cutscenes. The only air vehicle he raced against was a First Sons spy drone, which has no proof of being hypersonic or even supersonic.

Kessler

Movement Speed: Supersonic

Kessler should scale to Cole while using Induction Grind. Kessler in game can zip around the Empire City crater in seconds, which has been confirmed in canon to take up 5-6 city blocks. Kessler can also casually cross rooftops with no effort whatsoever [(https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=963fARLIVmU at 6:30)].

Kessler can flash-step out of the way of Cole's lightning bolts, but make of that what you want.

David Warner

Movement Speed: Supersonic

Scales to Cole's Induction Grind speed. David also managed to catch up and blitz Cole while he was grinding, even though Cole had a massive head start.

Alden Tate

On foot: Below Average Human

Alden walked with a limp for the most part, and he needed a cane in order to walk. It took him a large amount of time to move from one place to the other.

With his powers: Supersonic

Unknown

Sasha

Movement Speed: Subsonic+

Via scaling to Cole, Sasha also outran gunfire and blitzed a scientist.

Kuo

On foot: Subsonic+

Via scaling to Cole

In her Mist/Frost form: Supersonic

Can match Cole while using Inductions Grind

Nix

On foot: Subsonic+

Via scaling to Cole, can boost her movement speed via Teleportation

John White aka The Beast

Movement Speed: Unknow

Well, that's all I got for now, tell me what you think.

Well based on the established profiles, John and Cole are MHS+, so I'm gonna assume all your values here are massively lower than what we have. Why is that? I get that you're using game only feats but still..hmmmmmm

This is focusing on their movement speed, not combat speed. That means, how fast they can move their body, not how fast they can punch or react.

Both Prototypes and the comics, the comics have some really good feats in them. inFamous and Prototype are like twin games so you might know it.

Luckily I have both games and access to the comics, so I've been going at this for weeks alone just testing variables to make sure I get things as close as possible lol.

I'd advice you should get the best feats calcs by one of our calc members, you can either post it on the cal request thread or you ccould politely ask one of them on their walls if they could calc the best feat of speed. If it gets accepted you'll have my support obviously.

Well one already is calc'd (his Supersonic feat) which resulted in Mach 1.5 for Cole on a wire. It was accepted on this wiki and for a time was used for his combat speed.

Idk about that, it doesn't look remotely close to any nuke, it looks like it would be hard to get an accurate distance as well.

Do you think I could use the scenes of the pier before it blew up for distance? There's also the fact that debris from the explosion flew at a fast rate.

I posted a calc request.

And I'm like one of the last 4 people who still remember inFAMOUS, believe me I checked.

In case y'all were wondering, I'm getting the supersonic justification from this calc here, which was accepted on this wiki.

The subsonic justification comes from the statistics of this short range US missile which resembles the one used in the comic. Actually, from checking out the speed again, it should actually be subsonic+.
