Basically:

How do we treat a character's...well, character, if they lack any? I talk characters like Steve, the Terraria, or Madotsuki.

Their entire behavior is based on player input. We have nothing to judge their character to.

The most natural and straightforward option is to assume they'd act how most players act, but...
 
Depends on the series they're from. A puzzle game PA would be very problem solving and efficient. A beat em up would be straight forward. A JRPG would be strategic.

Though, we'd normally assume they'd use everything off the bat anyway.
