So this probably goes without saying (havent been on the wikia for some time, trying to get caught up on things here now), but would we even be able to have discussions here anymore once the forums are removed?

As long as you still use the e-mail address, you should be fine.

Only via the new "Discussions" module, which is extremely lacklustre so far. We have enlisted a company comprised of former Fandom technical team employees to set up a new external XenForo forum for us and transfer our old discussion threads there.

I believe if you change the email, you'll be ask to verify the new one. You're not stuck with an email if it's verified, not that I known of. And as Ant said if you're still using the already verified email then you'll be fine.

We're not moving the wiki's pages or creating our own wiki website.

The only thing that will be transferred are the forums.

All of the sub-forums are copied, but so far only to November 12. We hope to do a second backup shortly before the old forums are shut down.
