A Shantae vs Ultear from Fairytale thread had some users arguing Shantae wouldn't have any reason in-character to use her vanishing cream equipment in an offensive manner since the game's text describes it to be used to get away from enemies. It was stated nothing in game or her personality showed she'd do such a thing.
It has been proven that in-game you CAN still attack under its effect being intangible and invisible/hidden from enemy perception. I'd like to discuss the argument of the idea of video game characters not explictly showing through their character traits if they would use certain items in a way that the game doesnt technically tell you to do with them.
