Hellboy thanks to his guns, experience, combat skills and Regenerationn... Hellboy has faced dragons before. Spyro's fire breath has a crappy range, and doesn't even work on Hellboy, Spyro needs to get close to Hellboy and the demon could take him down with his fighting skills.

How did i miss that? Two of my favorite heroes, fighting each other, and it's quite a difficult choice. The inner child screams Spyro because it is nimble, fast and agile. But common sense, and the presence of enormous experience at Hellboy, makes me good think and give my vote for him. Also as mentioned earlier, his fire resistance makes most fire attacks useless, which undoubtedly gives a huge advantage in combat.
