Simple: funky animation. Similar to how he got his wound and still got his jacked perfectly fine several seconds later, even though the wound remained, and on the other hand he had to go change his jacket entirely when Sir Pentious ripped off a small part of it. I never said top of the food chain? I just said they aren't the weakest, which they aren't, they're surely on a mid-high level.
Obviously he's an outlier to the idea, but the fact his attained power made him be considered an overlord says something about how power-levels are related to hierarchy.

One thing @Comiphorous is probably right on is that I gave little-to-no elaboration in OP regarding durability scaling, so I’ll do that, since it can actually be interpreted as “ripping flesh = durability scales”. Will do that tomorrow when I’ll have access to my PC.

Why do you think I brought up axe argument? From small wound he still screams and has visible blood and damage, from his spine being ripped off he just keeps going on as if nothing happened.

Funky animation or because they don't grow out of his spine. Is there any statements saying that they grow out of his spine? I don't remember any and if there isn't anything like that a better conclusion to come to is that they don't grow out of him in the first place.

I already addressed this earlier in the thread. He “barely escaped from being killed by a hair”, aka being stomped by General cuz he is weakened! NOT “I nearly died by a hair to that wound”.

House of cards falls down when you remove one. In order for you to be correct here, you also need to be correct in several other areas, and I don't think you are. Also, it's no secret you do a lot of iffy things to try to make Alastor seem strong to the point where you tried to say that Alastor did regenerate from his wound by Adam and attempted to excuse the trailer as being some of the stuff he normally does in Demon form.
Put simply: When you're talking about Alastor, I automatically distrust you twice as much, and yes, same goes for the other side of this spectrum with Shion.

Barely escaped being killed by a hair isn't rocket science, clearly Al didnt double die, but Adam was still going to kill him on the next blow

If you remove one rule from maths or physics, everything will fall down as well.
This is not a great way to determine truth/correctness.
Mainly because of theories that suggest these green stitches are things he regenerated from past, e. g. bullet in his head one was confirmed IIRC, but not sure. Hence why I entertained the idea.
Also, simply because I did something that seemed iffy to you does not invalidate arguments themselves, that’d be ad hominem, wouldn’t it?

Indeed, it's frankly why I'm so tough on verses. If I accept something, it's because there's major support for it, hence why I believe Alastor's shadows can be At most 7-C but shut down everything else on Al scaling to Adam.
This ain't to say I've not been wrong before, but I try not to be completely lax for things.
