The Nine Realms are shown to be galaxies through Yggdrasil and Heimdall later confirms that those are the Nine Realms he watches over. The VFX team also states this

The Nine Realms are Nine different galaxies and she was trapped in one and came out when Odin's magic was released.

How are they galaxies when Asgard itself was a realm, basically a floating city that was one-shot by Surtur? And isn't Jotunheim (frost giants) a planet?

The original point was that summon said Hela could portal out of the mirror world. My counter point was that Hela's portal has only been shown to have inter-galatic range rather than multi-universal so it's unlikely to work

As the VFX crew said each galaxy is a realm and Hela was sealed in her realm. So her portal creation has only been shown to have intergalactic range.
