Heaven's Dogma (RP Thread)

"I'll do what I please." Nimah drawled. She glanced at Kurai, not bothering to put on the scared act she tried on Arkan, nor the faux-hostility she showed prior.

"If yer feelin' froggish, then hop, Turtle. See all the good that does ya down 'er."

(Ngl I kinda forgot about this thread for a hot minute; mind catching me up to speed real quick?)

(Cast gets eaten by daemon centipede, spent a bit falling into it's stomach, they're in its stomach now on Arkhan's Chariot thing, they spotted @AThe1412's OCs on a boat in the distance, Kurai and Nimah are about to tongue kiss[this is a lie].)

"Good to see I'm not the only one with sense..." Arkhan muttered to herself when she saw the manned ship, motioning the chariot to walk over, the skeletal horses grunting a ghastly noise
"Oh, they're approaching us? Could they be planning to...?", Taiga uttered before the captain interrupted him.

"Unlikely. The woman driving that chariot is Arkhan, a first generation Dogma holder. We met in the past and... nearly ripped each other's heads off over a misunderstanding. We should be on good terms now, though Eye am surprised that she's still up and kicking considering who she serves."

"Right.", the tiger stopped looking at the group and turned to him. "So she has horse skeletons that can move and walk on water. What kind of Dogma is that?"

"Hegemony-type. She can use necromancy, the ability to control the souls and bodies of the dead."

"You sure have a lot of strong folks on your friend list, huh?", the younger man questioned with a smirk on his face.

"Indeed. That includes you too.", the masked man answered. "Apart from her, Eye have also seen two other Dogmas on that chariot in action."

"Three people with Dogmas in the same spot. That's totally not suspicious at all."

"There's probably more than that. The other ones haven't revealed what they're capable of yet. All of them could potentially be Dogma users. We just gotta wait and see."

"Hold on.", Taiga suddenly stopped and listened. "They're arguing about whether they should take our boat by force and... they just decided not to do that. Good choice."

"You said before that you couldn't keep this up forever. It'd be cool if you pushed yourself and kept it standing, but if you die or break your brain from Dogma overusage, there goes my muscle." Kurai groaned, leaning back into the Chariot with a sigh. "Unless you have any better ideas, we need that boat."
"...But regardless of whether or not we steal it or negotiate it, keeping this chariot standing for as long as you have isn't normal, even for Dogma users. I'm surprised you haven't started bleeding from every orifice at this point..."
"I like to keep reserves up for this crap. Frankly, I was going to be guiding us towards something to land on for a bit anyway..." Arkhan sighed, shaking her head, visibly looking a little tired

"THAT FOOL IS STILL ALIVE? YOU SHOULD ELIMINATE--" (Anything capped like this is Anubis[or in meta terms, Nagash.])

"No. I dont have the energy, and if I went chopping the head off of everyone I had any history with, I wouldn't be making allies I require." Arkhan whispered, seemingly to herself as they got closer

"Alright Watcher, it's been a long day and rest is required, I'll be taking advantage of our friendship now!" Arkhan called out once she was in earshot of him

"Miss Undertaker! Long time no see!", the Witness waved at her while shouting back.

"All of you are welcome aboard the...", he paused for a second to think of a fitting name. "The Mandjet! Yes, please come on board. We're happy to have you here."

"We can tell, but at the same time we trust that you understand the gravity of our shared circumstance to not try anything stupid.", Taiga spoke up. "Besides, we're not ones to leave others to fend for themselves in a dangerous situation."

Nimah—who at this point, was thoroughly done with this whole situation—simply shrugged, reclining onto her back in the center of the chariot. She flashed another empty, vacant smile, closing her eyes.

"Tough luck, Gwenny. Any consultation, yer the only one I was hopin' would make it outta here. 'side from me, of course."
She would fall to her knees and put hands up to cover her face.

"I'm sorryyyyyy! I really tried my best..... Promise!"

During this entire ordeal, the Fox was watchfully and silently listening to their conversation. Their eyes were attuned closely to the two enwcomers.

"...Cool ride." Kurai muttered, dropping her mask so she could rub the bridge of her nose. There were visible bags under her red eyes, the woman letting out a sigh as she spoke.

"...How'd you make an entire boat down here? Assuming you got swallowed like us, I doubt you would've been able to keep an entire boat intact while falling into the thing..."

"We know, but at the same time we trust that you guys have enough understanding of our shared circumstance to not try anything stupid.", Taiga spoke up. "Besides, we're not ones to leave others to fend for themselves in a dangerous situation."
"Well, I wouldn't, Kurai probably wouldn't, can't speak for the treasure hunter though." Arkhan responded as she got up from her chariot and kind of just walked over to the one she called 'Watcher' "حسنًا، يبدو أننا نلتقي مرة أخرى. شكرًا لك على المساعدة، لقد بذلت طاقة أكثر مما ينبغي لإبقائهم على قيد الحياة..." She said in Arabic

"Get her boney lil' **** out yer ass, Arkan. Turtle wanted to steal the ship in the first place — she ain't any better."

"We can tell, but at the same time we trust that you understand the gravity of our shared circumstance to not try anything stupid.", Taiga spoke up. "Besides, we're not ones to leave others to fend for themselves during a dangerous situation."
Nimah flashed the muscular man a lazy smile, exposing the small gap between her front two teeth. She extended a frail hand, gesturing for a handshake.

"Name's Nimah, by the by. Somethin' of a collector."

"Get her boney lil' **** out yer ass, Arkan. Turtle wanted to steal the ship in the first place — she ain't any better."
"And she was talked down quickly. If you don't want shade thrown your way, don't start on a bad, dishonest foot, yes?" Arkhan didn't even bother to turn around to respond as the chariot and horses dissipated into their constituent parts.

"....." Kurai glances at Nimah, and walks up to her with heavy footsteps. She looks up at the scrawny woman with a unfocused gaze, the bone surrounding her hand morphing into a blade, unnoticeable beneath her cloak.

Then, she swipes and slices the woman's head off.

"...." She turns around and walks back next to Arkhan. She breathes out, "I'm good, now."

She would fall to her knees and put hands up to cover her face.

"Whoa, it's okay. You're safe now. Please calm down.", Taiga told the young lady who was dressed in a rather skimpy outfit. " Um... Do you need more clothes if I may ask?"
During this entire ordeal, the Fox was watchfully and silently listening to their conversation. Their eyes were attuned closely to the two newcomers.
The Witness turned and stared straight into Akarui's eyes for several seconds then without a word, he... gave her a small nod and shifted his gaze back to the rest of the group.

"And you'd be correct. We had to use whatever we could get our hands on. Scrap metal, plastic, bones... It ended up looking like a drawing from a children's coloring book because of that. Hell, we almost sank and died during our first voyage. Good thing Eye know a lot about boats or we wouldn't have made it this far.", the Watcher chuckled.

"إنها ليست مشكلة كبيرة، على الرغم من أن إلهك ربما غاضب الآن.", he replied.

"Name's Nimah, by the by. Somethin' of a collector."
"Uh, nice to meet you I guess. I'm Taiga.", he reluctantly reached for her hand but before he could...
"....." Kurai glances at Nimah, and walks up to her with heavy footsteps. She looks up at the scrawny woman with a unfocused gaze, the bone surrounding her hand morphing into a blade, unnoticeable beneath her cloak.

Taiga's eyes widened and he quickly stepped back as Nimah's decapitated head and body fell onto the ground, clearly shocked by what just happened in front of him. In contrast, the Witness remained unfazed as he simply stared at the violent scene.

"Well, that was completely unnecessary. You could have at least made a cleaner cut."
"..." Arkhan sighed a very long sigh, pretty much watching Nimah put herself together when it inevitably happened "Don't worry she can survive that..." Arkhan said out loud
"If you say so. Still, your friend right here didn't have to leave a mess on our ship. Blood can be difficult to clean after all.", the Watcher said in disapproval.

"...Trust me, it's therapeutic. You'll like me a lot better when I'm not wanting to slice someone's head off than when I do." Kurai murmured, before sighing, wiping some blood off of her exoskeleton with her claok.

"Anyways... if you two have survived here, have you met any other people...?" She said, "...It would've been impossible to get out of this place with just us. But... if there are more people, maybe even Dogma users... there might be a chance I can get out of here."

"إنها ليست مشكلة كبيرة، على الرغم من أن إلهك ربما غاضب الآن.", he replied
"إيه، سوف يتغلب على الأمر. على الرغم من ذلك، شكرًا على الرحلة، لا أعرف كم من الوقت كان بإمكاني الاستمرار في ذلك" Arkhan smiled

(Eh, he'll get over it. Seriously though, thanks for the ride, I dont know how long I could've kept that up.)
"If you say so. Still, your friend right here didn't have to leave a mess on our ship. Blood can be difficult to clean after all.", the Watcher said in disapproval.
"If I wasn't getting nagged to not push myself I'd make a skeleton to clean up, but it's how the cookie crumbles..." Arkhan gave a slightly faux yawn, though she was actually feeling tired between the damage sustained by her attempted life drain and keeping things up that long.

"I'm not nagging you, I just don't want you to die, dumbass.." Kurai said, lightly elbowing Arkhan in the side, the bone and the armor clanking.

"...Thank you." Arkhan smiled to Kurai now, ruthless as The Witness knew she could be, Arkhan wasn't unfriendly until someone got on her bad side, and wasn't outright hostile unless seriously provoked or attacked, considering he still had the scars that draining blade, there was an experience to be had in fighting a Necromancer who wasn't incompetent in melee.

"Why of course. Though they didn't help us build Mandjet, there are others here including some Dogma users. In fact, a Dogma user was how we were trapped here in the first place.", the Witness said as he started the engine of the boat.

"يمكنك الاسترخاء الآن، سأتولى الأمر من هنا.", he responded while pointing at a row of seats on board.

(You can relax now. I'll take it from here.)

"شكرا ، سأجلس بسعادة وأسترخي لبعض الوقت." Arkhan said, gingerly sitting down on the nearest chair she seperated from the rest.

(Thanks, I'll happily sit down and relax for awhile.)

"...Good enough for me." Kurai said, reforming her mask but only over her mouth and nose, serving as a form of protection from the gases and fumes that would undoubtedly become worse as they went deeper into the centipede.

The Mandjet shakes a bit in the thing's fluids, the waves becoming somewhat violent as it was clear that the centipede was starting to move faster, likely searching for more food.

(Kurai's mask.)

"Ain't yer fault, sweetcakes. Appreciate ya." She said, flashing the woman a wry smile before getting onto their ship.
"Awww, thank uuuuuuu~!" Gwen hopped on the ship with grace and went over to Nimah's side, albeit not making physical contact.
"Whoa, it's okay. You're safe now. Please calm down.", Taiga told the young lady who was dressed in a rather skimpy outfit. " Um... Do you need more clothes if I may ask?"
She didn't bat an eye to Taiga and tried to hug Nimah upon being asked. "Are you that oblivious, hm? Be like her who appreciates my beauty, okay?!" she pouted.

The Witness turned and stared straight into Akarui's eyes for several seconds then without a word, he... gave her a small nod and shifted his gaze back to the rest of the group.
"You have anything to say?" The fox asked, walking their way to the ship as they stood at the edge, watchful and not really that communicative.

"H-Huh? I... Alright then. I'll just take that as a no.", he replied in a confused tone before turning away.

(Kurai's mask.)
"Taiga, go grab some more masks and hand them out. We're heading back to base.", the Witness said to his friend who had recovered from the gruesome sight of Nimah's 'death'.

The buff man nodded and walked over to where a brown leather suitcase was placed. He shook it a bit before opening, revealing a box of face masks and strangely only face masks inside. Taiga put on a mask himself before distributing them to everyone else.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen, hold on tight. This is going to be a long and rough ride.", the captain announced as the ship began moving. They were heading further into... The Belly of The Beast
(In case you're wondering, it's a name drop for Event 1)

"Been decapitated more an' a few times. Had my share'a blades to the throat. This time? three outta five stars — wouldn't have pegged 'er for'a swordsman." Nimah thought. She slowly opened her eyes, the flesh of her new body tingling ever so slightly — like a sleeping limb that had just regained feeling. She had revived at the end of the ship, allowing her to feel the gentle hum of the motor against her back. She spied her old corpse a few feet away, it seemed no one had kicked it overboard during her brief period of death-induced unconsciousness.

"...Gotta temper on this one. Y'all should watch out — yer bodies ain't as expendable." The woman flashed a vacant smile, lazily stretching to grasp one of the available masks.

"...Trust me, you've got a particularly sliceable neck, so nobody else needs to worry. It's like it's begging to be cut, in fact." Kurai says with a dry 'ha' , grasping a mask and tossing it at Nimah's feet so she didn't have to reach. Then, she kicks the old corpse overboard. The stomach fluids bubble as it dissolves. "...Just watch your mouth and we won't have any problems, Nimah."

Nimah raised her hands in mock surrender.

"Yeah yeah, I'll stop pokin' the bear. Ain't worth it." Nimah said. She grabbed the mask, idly slipping it down her matted, unkempt hair and securing it around her nose and mouth, the faint traces of a smile outlined in the fabric.

Taiga looked at the newly resurrected Nimah, then his eyes moved to her previous body, and then they moved back to her again.
"You needn't remind us.", he said under his breath.

"Hey! We could have- Oh, nevermind. It didn't sound that weird in my head.", the Watcher shook his head slightly. Taiga, meanwhile, already started cleaning the bloodstains from the floor using a piece of cloth and some cold water.

"....Could have what? If you've got opinions, spit it out." Kurai said, glancing at the Watcher. She raised her arm from her cloak, the blade morphing back into a normal gauntlet of bone for him to see. "...Don't worry, I don't plan to cut anyone else's head off. For now."

The last part was a bit of a joke.

"There are a lot of things you can do with a freshly deceased body. I could have harvested her limbs and organs in case we needed them, or Arkhan could have turned her corpse into another one of her undead minions. Just a few examples.", he explained.

"...I can cut her head off again if you really want a corpse that badly." Kurai said with a shrug, though that was likely another joke. "Besides, I only got rid of the body. Head's still right here."

She says, picking up Nimah's lifeless head by its hair.

"Yeah... Just put it in there.", he pointed at his empty opened suitcase. As if to demonstrate how it worked, his friend Taiga placed the box of face masks inside the luggage and closed it. When it was opened again right after, neither the box nor the masks were anywhere to be seen.

Kurai tosses Nimah's head into the bag. Or well, she tries. She undershoots it and the head hits the ship floor, getting a bit squished. "Uhh..." She scurries to pick it up, avoiding looking at the now somewhat deformed features and then just places it into the bag like a normal person.

"Abracadabra.", Taiga closed the suitcase and opened it again to find the head had vanished without a trace.
"Next head'll cost ya. Ain't in the business of givin' 'way body parts fer free." Nimah drawled.
"So there must be a limit to your ability to return from death, yes? What would you want me to offer for another corpse?", the Witness asked.

"If there's a limit, I wouldn't be blabberin' 'bout it." Nimah said. She flashed him a small smirk, idly running a hand through her unkempt hair. "Tell ya what: after everythin' is said n' done, I want this boat. Till then, ya have the rights ta take any corpse o' mine ya want, 'ssuming I die again. Sound like a deal?"

"Eye mean, sure? We wouldn't exactly need it anymore after we escape, unless we have to travel on water again for whatever reason.", he agreed to her conditions.
