Heaven's Dogma (RP Thread)

"It's a—"

Before Kurai could finish... before Arkhan's chariot could begin moving... it was too late.

Some thing erupted from the gory sands of the red desert. Some giant, armored thing.

The first thing they might have all felt was surprise, as an inescapable maw shot out from below and eclipsed their surroundings. The farmhouse, the truck, the chariot, them... all consumed faster than they could blink. The second thing they felt, or rather, the second thing they saw... was darkness. It was as if they had been thrust into a cave. The idea that that was the case was swiftly stomped out as the sounds of cascades of saliva surrounded them, the thick, gelatinous substance dripping all around them in miniature waterfalls.

There was some light that they could see for a few moments before the dark consumed them, light from the false sun that shone through the thing's teeth before it closed its massive, gaping maw. But it was quick to close its carapaced jaw, its many rows of mountainous teeth slamming shut and blotting out all light.

And then, they were falling in the dark. They could hear the thing burrowing its way back into the sand from within it. Kurai finished her sentence too late.

"....daemon sand centipede."

"Close enough..."

The Foxian tried to stab their blade into the walls of the monster, seeing if the inside of it are just as tough as the exterior. Of course, applying little of their true strength could only render the damage to be small or even pointless, which is to be expected. If this happens, they'd simply maneuver around and slash away at the monster — sending those same shockwaves with blur-ish speeds of their body — towards every angle, avoiding their allies from getting hit by them, as well reduce the amount of damage they take should they land on any surface.

Kurai sighed to herself, her exoskeleton mask dissolving. There was no point in keeping it on in the darkness.

Akarui's blade could not reach far enough to the inner walls of the monster's throat... it was simply too big. The wide expanse of its maw was like an enormous pit, even her long-ranged sword slashes finding that they could not reach their mark at such distance. Even if she tried moving closer, the absolutely massive masses of the beast's saliva would cascade upon her with enough weight to crush her body and blot out her fire. Arkhan's attempts at siphoning its life force were met with similar results—the daemonic life energy dwelling within it was like an untameable storm, violent and unforgiving, the waves of its life causing Arkhan to bleed from practically every orifice as it fought against her attempts to influence it like a rabid dog wrestling its owner. The harder she tried to drain it, the more it wrestled against her.

They could only fall.

"....Don't bother. It's over." Kurai grunted, eyes wide with defeat. "...We're done. Absolutely done. I'm done. I knew I shouldn't have brought you randoms with me..."

Nimah blinked several times, her eyes rapidly adjusting to the sudden absence of light—only really possible due to the inherent night vision all Dogma users possessed. She glanced around for the truck, hoping it would be—mostly—intact within the monster gullet.

"...Ain't even had time to run. Ain't often ya seem'em get this big." Nimah murmured. She didn't seem...panicked per se—the woman methodically keeping the building agitation away from her expression—but it was clear she wasn't pleased with this particular turn of events.
"Hey! Don't do that! It hurts!" she complained, and tried to scoot close, literally a panicking mess from the way she was pushed. The audacity of Nimah to do this.
"About'ta hurt a whole lot more if we don't get outta this place. Bein' digested ain't very pretty." Nimah said mildly.

"Actually, wouldn't be the first time I've been eaten by one of these." Arkhan said, sighing as she wiped away the blood casually, not siphoning any life to heal herself since it was a stupid idea for her to try it with something this big anyway. "Survival isn't impossible, espeically for you, Kurai. You fully cover yourself with something it can't digest: Bone."

"...Just because it can't digest bone doesn't mean I'm safe." Kurai's breathing began picking up. They could feel themselves tossing and turning in the air as the creature traveled through the sand, burrowing at high speeds. She was starting to panic.

"...I-I can't constantly cover my entire body in an exoskeleton with no gaps... I'll still d-die... doesn't matter if it takes a year, or f*cking 100 years... God... God damnit..."

"That's why you rest now that we're floating!" Arkhan grabbed one of Kurai's shoulders, the chariot seeming to keep whoever was on it steady "Panic does not serve you, calm down. I'll get us out of here in one piece, it's the least I can do for getting us and you into this mess by suggesting we stop. Put a bit of faith in me, okay?"

"Ya wouldn't be in here for 100 years. It's gotta shit ya out eventually." Nimah said absentmindedly.

"Someone do me a favor, I want ya to cut my head off n' throw it really hard up'ta its mouth. Won't save any of ya, of course, but might help me out some." She said this without a hint of humor, idly running a finger along the soft flesh below her chin.

"....Go f*ck yourself. Both of you. I'd sooner throw your head further down its throat, you sleezy little c*nt..." Kurai groaned, Arkhan's words failing to calm her. She covered her face once again in her mask, and curled up. "Just... be quiet..."

"Very well." Arkhan said, gently shifting the chariot to more properly support Kurai while she layed down "Now then, considering size and how fast we're moving, plus it stuffing it's gut with sand... we'll be in here for about... 12-24 hours... Easy to get to the surface from there." Arkhan muttered, deep in thought "So, which one of you wants to act like a drill?" Arkhan casually said out loud

(She has yet to use her Dogma lol)

"It's tough...." they remarked more so to themselves, landing almost fine with minimal injury, removing the saliva off of them and leaping away from the crushing force as their body naturally healed.

"I think I have enough strength for it." They replied. "Maybe we could use that man for some help, he has yet to be of use...."

"AAAAAAAAHHHHH!" she covered her mouth with fear as she realized she's inside a literal stomach or belly or whatever. "F***ckkkkkk!"
