Heaven's Dogma (RP Thread)

"It's a—"

Before Kurai could finish... before Arkhan's chariot could begin moving... it was too late.

Some thing erupted from the gory sands of the red desert. Some giant, armored thing.

The first thing they might have all felt was surprise, as an inescapable maw shot out from below and eclipsed their surroundings. The farmhouse, the truck, the chariot, them... all consumed faster than they could blink. The second thing they felt, or rather, the second thing they saw... was darkness. It was as if they had been thrust into a cave. The idea that that was the case was swiftly stomped out as the sounds of cascades of saliva surrounded them, the thick, gelatinous substance dripping all around them in miniature waterfalls.

There was some light that they could see for a few moments before the dark consumed them, light from the false sun that shone through the thing's teeth before it closed its massive, gaping maw. But it was quick to close its carapaced jaw, its many rows of mountainous teeth slamming shut and blotting out all light.

And then, they were falling in the dark. They could hear the thing burrowing its way back into the sand from within it. Kurai finished her sentence too late.

"....daemon sand centipede."

"Close enough..."

The Foxian tried to stab their blade into the walls of the monster, seeing if the inside of it are just as tough as the exterior. Of course, applying little of their true strength could only render the damage to be small or even pointless, which is to be expected. If this happens, they'd simply maneuver around and slash away at the monster — sending those same shockwaves with blur-ish speeds of their body — towards every angle, avoiding their allies from getting hit by them, as well reduce the amount of damage they take should they land on any surface.

Kurai sighed to herself, her exoskeleton mask dissolving. There was no point in keeping it on in the darkness.

Akarui's blade could not reach far enough to the inner walls of the monster's throat... it was simply too big. The wide expanse of its maw was like an enormous pit, even her long-ranged sword slashes finding that they could not reach their mark at such distance. Even if she tried moving closer, the absolutely massive masses of the beast's saliva would cascade upon her with enough weight to crush her body and blot out her fire. Arkhan's attempts at siphoning its life force were met with similar results—the daemonic life energy dwelling within it was like an untameable storm, violent and unforgiving, the waves of its life causing Arkhan to bleed from practically every orifice as it fought against her attempts to influence it like a rabid dog wrestling its owner. The harder she tried to drain it, the more it wrestled against her.

They could only fall.

"....Don't bother. It's over." Kurai grunted, eyes wide with defeat. "...We're done. Absolutely done. I'm done. I knew I shouldn't have brought you randoms with me..."

Nimah blinked several times, her eyes rapidly adjusting to the sudden absence of light—only really possible due to the inherent night vision all Dogma users possessed. She glanced around for the truck, hoping it would be—mostly—intact within the monster gullet.

"...Ain't even had time to run. Ain't often ya seem'em get this big." Nimah murmured. She didn't seem...panicked per se—the woman methodically keeping the building agitation away from her expression—but it was clear she wasn't pleased with this particular turn of events.
"Hey! Don't do that! It hurts!" she complained, and tried to scoot close, literally a panicking mess from the way she was pushed. The audacity of Nimah to do this.
"About'ta hurt a whole lot more if we don't get outta this place. Bein' digested ain't very pretty." Nimah said mildly.

"Actually, wouldn't be the first time I've been eaten by one of these." Arkhan said, sighing as she wiped away the blood casually, not siphoning any life to heal herself since it was a stupid idea for her to try it with something this big anyway. "Survival isn't impossible, espeically for you, Kurai. You fully cover yourself with something it can't digest: Bone."

"...Just because it can't digest bone doesn't mean I'm safe." Kurai's breathing began picking up. They could feel themselves tossing and turning in the air as the creature traveled through the sand, burrowing at high speeds. She was starting to panic.

"...I-I can't constantly cover my entire body in an exoskeleton with no gaps... I'll still d-die... doesn't matter if it takes a year, or f*cking 100 years... God... God damnit..."

"That's why you rest now that we're floating!" Arkhan grabbed one of Kurai's shoulders, the chariot seeming to keep whoever was on it steady "Panic does not serve you, calm down. I'll get us out of here in one piece, it's the least I can do for getting us and you into this mess by suggesting we stop. Put a bit of faith in me, okay?"

"Ya wouldn't be in here for 100 years. It's gotta shit ya out eventually." Nimah said absentmindedly.

"Someone do me a favor, I want ya to cut my head off n' throw it really hard up'ta its mouth. Won't save any of ya, of course, but might help me out some." She said this without a hint of humor, idly running a finger along the soft flesh below her chin.

"....Go f*ck yourself. Both of you. I'd sooner throw your head further down its throat, you sleezy little c*nt..." Kurai groaned, Arkhan's words failing to calm her. She covered her face once again in her mask, and curled up. "Just... be quiet..."

"Very well." Arkhan said, gently shifting the chariot to more properly support Kurai while she layed down "Now then, considering size and how fast we're moving, plus it stuffing it's gut with sand... we'll be in here for about... 12-24 hours... Easy to get to the surface from there." Arkhan muttered, deep in thought "So, which one of you wants to act like a drill?" Arkhan casually said out loud

(She has yet to use her Dogma lol)

"It's tough...." they remarked more so to themselves, landing almost fine with minimal injury, removing the saliva off of them and leaping away from the crushing force as their body naturally healed.

"Very well." Arkhan said, gently shifting the chariot to more properly support Kurai while she layed down "Now then, considering size and how fast we're moving, plus it stuffing it's gut with sand... we'll be in here for about... 12-24 hours... "I think I have enough strength for it." They replied. "Maybe we could use that man for some help, he has yet to be of use...."

"About'ta hurt a whole lot more if we don't get outta this place. Bein' digested ain't very pretty." Nimah said mildly.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHH!" she covered her mouth with fear as she realized she's inside a literal stomach or belly or whatever. "F***ckkkkkk!"

"Hope yer good with those bein' yer last words, ya stuck-up B*****" The woman gave Kurai the finger. It wasn't clear if she was genuinely angry, yet her words were biting all the same.

"Shoulda shanked ya when I had'ta chance."

"AAAAAAAAHHHHH!" she covered her mouth with fear as she realized she's inside a literal stomach or belly or whatever. "F***ckkkkkk!"
Unceremoniously Nimah pushed a gloved hand over Gwen's as she covered her mouth, lithe fingers clamping around both cheeks.

"Doll. Sweetie. If we don't come up with'a plan 'er we're all gonna die. That's gonna hurt. A lot. Me particularly." The woman flashed a blank smile, one that clearly did not reach her eyes. "Ya said ya wanted to be useful, yeah? Don't wanna be deadweight? See what ya can do for the others. Make some strings or somethin'."

"...I would've liked to see you try, scrawny ass b*tch. You think I didn't see that little knife you tried pulling out!?" Kurai once again became confrontational at the drop of a hat, sniffling as uncurled herself and began glaring at Nimah through her exoskeleton. "You get near me and I'll f*cking kill you. And if you come back? I'll kill you again. Keep your fugly little self away from me-"

Kurai's curses were interrupted by another sudden shift mid-air, as the centipede in which they were falling shifted directions in the sand. They were flung further and further down, until they could begin to see a... light? A light at the "end of the tunnel", in a way, shining from the bottom of the thing's throat.

"Here's the fun part!" Arkhan took the chariot and aimed it to scoop up everyone it could mid-air considering she was making it fly "Hang on tight! Except for you Nimah you can go flying if you want!"

"M-mmm..." she nodded submissively, finding herself shaky and weary, but felt almost comforting from the way she was told to do so.

Hence, from her fingertips sprouted 12 separate needles, turning themselves into a singular lengthy string — one that which Nimah can't see. Said string would extend itself to reach that said "light", and as she wanted to demonstrate without speaking, she took another piece of string from her body and dropped it into the invisible thread before the string would appear right at the very end of it, as if it teleported.

Akarui would simply keep leaping and jumping, grabbing onto the chariot with one hand and sheathing the sword. "You think we could slay this thing? It's annoying me."

"Ha! The turtle crawled outta its ******' shell. Was wonderin' if my knife could fit through those lil' sockets of yer's, wanna bet it-?" The woman glanced at the light in the distance, her eyes squinting.

"The hell kinda creature is this..."

"M-mmm..." she nodded submissively, finding herself shaky and weary, but felt almost comforting from the way she was told to do so.

Nimah glanced at Gwen as she, seemingly, teleported one of her strings. Quickly, she moved her hand away from the woman's mouth, a sharp grin stretching across her features.

"Yer one of 'em teleporter-types? Think ya can get us outta 'ere like that?"

Kurai simply grunted, deciding to ignore Nimah for now. "...You're not slaying sh*t, it's like the size of a mountain... We're about to fall into its stomach. Daemon centipede shells let light in occasionally, and its stomach fluids reflect light better than most liquids, so it's probably above ground to catch its breath... its stomach is just reflecting sunlight throughout its body..."

Akarui would simply keep leaping and jumping, grabbing onto the chariot with one hand and sheathing the sword. "You think we could slay this thing? It's annoying me."
"I'd be in here for two years trying at the pace it makes me go! Now shut it and hang on!" Arkhan growled "And don't start trying to kill eachother in here. It'll take awhile to get out!"

"I'll take that as a no." Akarui replied.

"Y-yeash, ma'am...."

She nervously nodded, scared to be hurt by Nimah again. The woman's smile made her tremble in both fear and excitement. At least she's there to give her attention, which is what wants in the end.

Nimah, quickly, shot a bony hand outward to grasp at the chariot as it changed direction. Her ears perked as she heard Kurai's explanation; seems the girl wasn't useless after all.

"Y-yeash, ma'am...."

"Here's what I want ya'ta do, Gwenny. Ya see that light? Mean's the thing is 'bove ground, like the turtle mentioned." She jabbed a finger at Kurai, before continuing. "Thing is, this thing is fast. Ain't gonna be up fer long. I need'cha to use those strings of yer's to help move the chariot as fast as possible AWAY from the light. Help Akhan in any way ya can, ok? I'm countin' on ya."

"Yeah?"
Mean's the thing is 'bove ground, like the turtle mentioned."
"Mhm...."
She jabbed a finger at Kurai, before continuing.
She would nod again.
"Thing is, this thing is fast. Ain't gonna be up fer long. I need'cha to use those strings of yer's to help move the carriage as fast as possible AWAY from the light. Help Akhan in any way ya can, ok? I'm countin' on ya."
"Away....." she took some time to connect the dots, connect and connect and connect... then... Eureka! Gwenny here has a unique way of doing that PLUS another surprise she wants to impress Nimah. The girl felt almost delighted at the idea and felt no doubt in those thoughts. To be counted upon for once...

With a wink and a smile, she would quickly hold on to her string and immediately transport herself to the very end of the string, which would be right near the carriage, using another string to hoist it in, causing the ENTIRE thing to appear on the opposite end of the invisible string.

"I did it!" she declared, "I did it!"

"Just let it swallow us, you mongs!! If you keep using a Dogma inside of its throat, then it's just gonna—"

Perhaps the light shining from its stomach illuminating the inner stucture of the Daemon's throat was a bad thing, allowing them to see just how grim their fate was. The thick flesh inside the centipede's throat shifted and contorted... and rised, creating a wall of meat that moved to slam into the group and force them further down its throat. They needed to brace for impact.

"...then it's just going to gulp us down..."

The inside of the centipede's throat hit Arkhan's chariot and sent them rocketing into the light. Before they knew it, the chariot was landing in a pit of green fluids.

"البلداء..." Arkhan muttered under her breath in Arabic, expertly piloting the chariot in it's levitating state to not just dunk the entire party, and instead she got the softest and floatiest landing with the least splash possible before letting the chariot idly flost because of modifications to the boyancy she totally made before now "Next time you morons get ideas I'm throwing you in!" Arkhan snapped over her shoulder

Kurai let out a sigh as she thickened her exoskeleton's mask, her nose scrunching up beneath the thick ossein structure at the gasses rising from the thing's stomach acid. "...No use complaining at this point. It wasnt nice knowing any of you. Have fun getting digested."

Nimah—who at this point, was thoroughly done with this whole situation—simply shrugged, reclining onto her back in the center of the chariot. She flashed another empty, vacant smile, closing her eyes.

"Tough luck, Gwenny. Any consultation, yer the only one I was hopin' would make it outta here. 'side from me, of course."

"If none of you rock this or just swaying in a panic, we'll sail right through this." Arkhan said, getting comfortable enough in her seat up at the front of the chariot that she could actually properly rest enough to gain more than she expended keeping this damned thing intact, considering she dispelled all of her other beings for this.

"...I ain't doing Jack. Do whatever." Kurai sighs, simply sitting against the edge of the chariot.

The inside of the centipede's stomach was much akin to the vast, poisonous oceans one found in the "outside" world. The difference being it was more like a cave system than anything, multiple large, cavernous paths through the thing's stomach lining opened up, the edges and rims of the open paths throbbing and contracting periodically.

(Was waiting to see if anyone else would comment but none did so...)
The group could barely spot something off in the distance. A colorful object floating atop the acid was slowly getting closer to them. It resembled... a boat? In a place like this? Even more surprising, there were two figures standing on the motorized watercraft.

"You were right bro. This thing was searching for food... and it seems to have found some.", one of the figures said while watching those people from afar using a pair of binoculars. He was a large and muscular man who carried the strength of a mighty beast both on his back and within his spirit.

"Wonderful. Some familiar faces, others you and Eye have only heard of. This will be interesting.", a response came from the older figure who was piloting the vessel they had assembled from scrap. He was a shorter, leaner gentleman in comparison with his partner and his visage was concealed behind a simple yet peculiar looking mask.

"Think we should come and say hi to them?", the man named Taiga asked his friend just as their vehicle ceased its movement. The distance between the two of them and the other group was about half a kilometer at that point.

"Nah. They aren't in serious trouble from what Eye can tell. We have made our presence known. Let's continue observing them for now."

Kurai's eyes squinted a bit as she saw what seemed to be a boat in the distance, coming out of one of the many cavernous paths that constituted the daemon's intestinal tract.

"Uh... the f*ck?" She tilted her head, "Is that f*cking people?"

"The vapors are getting to ya." Nimah said impassively, letting out a soft yawn.

"Wish I coulda salvaged the truck...if this thing ain't melt the bone it sure as hell ain't meltin' metal. Guessin' it just sank." She thought to herself.

"Good to see I'm not the only one with sense..." Arkhan muttered to herself when she saw the manned ship, motioning the chariot to walk over, the skeletal horses grunting a ghastly noise

"Uh... the f*ck?" She tilted her head, "Is that f*cking people?"
"Yes, people live in the bigger specimens of these things. Part of why I know we can just survive long enough to come out the other end." Arkhan chuckled, having visibly relaxed

"....I don't think that's right." Kurai said with a sigh, leaning over Arkhan's Chariot a bit to get a better view.

"...Okay, I've had fume highs, and this isn't one of them. Those are definitely two guys." She murmurs, before shaking her head a bit. "...We should steal their boat before this Chariot gives out."

"It won't give out, Kurai... not as long as I'm alive." Arkhan said, the chariot tilting slightly with the movement, which Arkhan shot a glance to make sure that Kurai wasn't about to tip it over.

"You said before that you couldn't keep this up forever. It'd be cool if you pushed yourself and kept it standing, but if you die or break your brain from Dogma overusage, there goes my muscle." Kurai groaned, leaning back into the Chariot with a sigh. "Unless you have any better ideas, we need that boat."

Nimah sighed, slowly bringing herself to a sitting position. Sure enough, she could spot the craft in the distance, floating atop the acid ocean in the same way they were.

"We ain't stealin' shit, Turtle. No way they'd give up the boat willingly, and we can't start a fight without riskin' damage. We oughta just ask'em to share." Nimah said. She squinted her eyes, examining the two figures in the distance.

"If they're alive down 'er, I'm bettin' at least one of 'em got the gift. Better to play nice fer now."

"...Better for you to suck my d*ck and keep quiet like a good twig. Call me turtle again and you die." Kurai flips Nimah off without even bothering to look at her before addressing Arkhan once again.

@DaReaperMan

"...But regardless of whether or not we steal it or negotiate it, keeping this chariot standing for as long as you have isn't normal, even for Dogma users. I'm surprised you haven't started bleeding from every orifice at this point..."
