Well, you feel your death in her presence so you need to be able to "throw your own life away" to even begin the fight cus it makes you understand that if you start the fight you're dead.

But if Liliana can actually pull that off, the moment she starts the fight that fate of death materializes and she dies.

Well im almost don cleaning up her profile but it looks like Lily will be ablle to resist if not outright nullify that ability through use of the Witchbane Orb and the Chain Veil
