During Legion the players see Huln Highmountain banish Deathwing into Deepholm using the Hammer of Khaz'goroth (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LqfNI0UBkU). Does this make the hammer a High 6-B hammer?

This takes place quite a while before Deathwing's empowerment in Deepholm so not necessarily.

I checked the gamepedia article on deathwing, nothing in there suggests he was empowered by anything other than the demon soul, if we're talking about the elementium plates on his body those aren't the first armor plates he had placed on him. He had his drogbar slaves forge adamantium plates onto his body first in order to contain the power of the demon soul.
The only times he ever goes their are when huln banishes him, and when he needs to heal from his wounds

my bad i thought you we're saying he was empowered by being in deepholm, not that N'Zoth gave him power while he was in Deepholm.
So I guess the question is is a Deathwing with the Demon Soul equal to a Deathwing empowered by N'Zoth?

I can accept that though with all the lore changes the validity of Metzen's statements are questionable.

The chronicles do not concern themselves with such details, as the actual empowerment of Deathwing remains canon then there's no reason to suggest that the number given by Metzen has lost validity. Furthermore, Metzen is the one writing the Chronicles regardless.

I'm not saying that the statement is wrong what I'm saying is that I don't expect Metzen to remember everything he has ever said about WoW lore.

Our other option would be to make guesses ourselves which, I'm sure we can agree, wouldn't be the most legitimate way of going about this. Also, I'm not sure if it even matters since it's been recorded regardless. With Metzen's track record he probably doesn't remember everything he's written either.
