I will seperate this CRT into a few sections.

One justifying the 1A rating of the verse, and another to attempt to go even further and make it High 1-A+

most of the 1-A justifications actually come from ANOTHER blog offsite, and they’ve actually given explicit permission to use this in a VSBW CRT, as long as they’re credited.

massive thanks to KirbonicPikmin: https://kirbonicpikminvs.blogspot.com/2024/08/tengen-toppa-gurren-lagann-cosmology.html?m=1

first, Dimensions in the verse may actually have an R>F relationship to one another.

Source used: .

Simon uses his spiral power to write a story, and this story becomes its own 2 dimensional universe.

In essence, while crafting his story and the world within it, Otoko Simon utilized his Spiral Energy to connect his own universe with a 2D universe. Alongside the power of his voice, this connection enabled that universe's own Simon, "Garlock," to perform "spatial teleportation," allowing him to cross into Otoko Simon's dimension. When Otoko Simon tore the manuscript, it created a "gateway" linking the two dimensions. Additionally, any modifications made to the manuscript directly influenced the reality and storyline of the 2D universe, notably steering Garlock towards meeting Kamina to help him grow as a person.

In simpler terms, the primary distinction between a 2D universe and a 3D universe is essentially between fiction and reality. By writing with a pen charged with his Spiral Energy, Otoko Simon crafted a fictional 2D universe that he could manipulate at will through his script within his 3D reality. This implies that traversing from a lower-dimensional universe to a higher one in TTGL involves moving from a fictional realm to a real one. Each dimension above perceives those below as fictional, with each successive dimension layering further into a greater reality.

If Simon can move from his 3D universe to the Anti-Spiral universe, which lies between the 10th and 11th dimensions, shouldn’t that rule him out?

In the main series and movies, Simon needs to transport the Arc Gurren from the 3D universe to the Anti-Spiral universe to save Nia. This Anti-Spiral universe exists between the 10th and 11th dimensions. While this might seem like it disqualifies him, it’s important to understand the nature of Spiral Energy. Spiral Energy is a powerful force that holds life and the universe together, even in the Anti-Spiral universe, where it’s just prevented from manifesting. Despite this blockade, Simon and his team can still use Spiral Energy there.

For this transportation feat, Simon explains to his team that using their "spirit" or "fighting spirit" (another term for Spiral Power), they can "fly anywhere," implying that dimensional travel requires Spiral Energy. This is crucial because Spiral Energy was how Otoko Simon created the 2D universe for Garlock, showing that it can create, connect, and bind different realities. Given that Spiral Energy holds the universe and life forms together, it’s at least an "Outerversal" or 1A energy source. Using this power for dimensional travel is not a disqualifier; in fact, using a 1A energy source to achieve 1A feats or transcend dimensions fits the R>F Standards.

What about Garlock transcending his lower fictional reality into a higher one? Isn’t that a disqualifier?

Without additional context, yes, it would be. According to VSBW’s standards, a lower entity can't break into higher realms with their own lesser powers, so Garlock doing it alone could be a disqualifier. However, Garlock didn’t do this on his own—he was boosted by Otoko Simon’s power, transmitted through his voice. Importantly, Otoko Simon exists in a higher reality and literally created Garlock’s universe through his Spiral Power and pen. The characters in the 2D universe couldn’t transcend dimensions on their own; they only did it once Otoko Simon’s Spiral Energy either empowered them or created a gateway.

Does Otoko Simon empowering others with his voice count as "dispersing" himself?

No, Simon isn’t breaking himself down into a lower reality by doing this. He isn’t becoming less real. Instead, the sound of his voice and his powers from the higher realm reach the lower realm, empowering entities there with his Spiral Energy. This fits within the 1A Energy Source allowances and isn’t a disqualifier.

Now, in case this is somehow invalid, I have my own meta for 1-A that is NOT covered in the blog.

There are many abstract/beyond space time statements in the series regarding spiral power in general, Team Dai-Gurren, and the anti spiral towards the end of the series.

i will compile them here.

TTGL is stated to be “materialized thought”, so the concept of space does not apply to it.

"The second half of "Gurren Lagann" overwhelms viewers with an intense driving feeling but the scale of the Gurren Lagann series has been on a many viewer's minds. If the size of "Lagann" is approximately 1 meter and and "Gurren Lagann" is about 5 meters then it follows that the figures below are rough estimates. However, because Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is a materialized thought, it's size is impossible to calculate (It doesn't exactly exist in the physical world.). Use this as only a guide so you can grasp the magnitude of these sizes. When comparing the first Gurren Lagann and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is about 10²⁵ times larger or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times larger (In the "Gurren Lagann" style it's multiplied by 10.). It could be said that this size is truly unimaginable."

Spiral power is also stated to be “beyond dimensions and time”

The Anti-Spiral is also stated to transcend time and space:

The anti-spiral is a thought body, much like TTGL, and lacks a physical form.

"(Anti-Spiral) [Character/Episode 24] The thought body of the Anti-Spiral race. In order to prevent the "Spiral Nemesis", a cosmic collapse brought about by the Spiral Power, they plan to eradicate the Spiral race. To this end, they have set up an automatic annihilating system on the planet where the Spiral race lives, killing any Spiral race member who has reached a certain population level. Their power is like the universe itself. They have no physical form and cannot be seen by humans. It uses sophisticated tactics to trap the Spirals in the multiverse and deprive their fighting spirit. In the distant past, when the Earth mimics led by Lordgenome fought a battle, Lordgenome pursued the Anti-Spiral, but was unable to find its home base and was exhausted. As a result, Lordgenome was forced to flee back to its home planet of Earth. The Anti-Spiral themselves were once Spirals, but when they became aware of the horrors of Spiral Nemesis, they sealed off their home planet and locked their powers away forever. Until they decided on a name, they were commonly known as "Spaceman" (the original name was invented by Mr. Nakashima). It means the universe itself. Imaishi was in charge of the design."

“Feeling” (which is just referring to spiral power,as referred to in a previous scan.)is said to transcend time and space.

Now, to justify High 1-A+.

The Anti-Spiral creates an infinite multiverse, with infinite possibilities.

These are implied to exist within logical space,as they are referred to as a “logical trap.”

These possibilities are also generated by thought, so anything that could be thought of, would exist in this multiverse. Lordgenome used the super spiral space created by TTGL becoming the embodiment of this multiverse to restore his form.

""Yeah!" The members of the Gurren Lagann behind me nodded vigorously when I said that. Thank you, brother. I believe in you who believes in me. I believe in my friends who believes in myself. Simon held up his core drill to the heaven and a flash of light flashed across the sky. Innumerable appearances of Simon appeared in the sky, and they were the past, the present, and the future, every place, every time, and the innumerable selves that live in a world of infinite possibilities. There is no escaping wherever you go. In a closed infinite universe, various lives are repeated. In that universe of possibilities, Simon twisted the innumerable selves he had drilled into one, twisting them together into a giant drill, and before he realized that it was a huge drill, Simon wasn't there but Gurren Lagann. There stood Gurren Lagann, holding up the giga drill, "Let's go, buddy!""

Some of these worlds actually have different laws, like one of them being sound based.

(TRANSLATION NOT MINE)

The truth of the Otoko universe is realised; the Otoko dimension is a dimension based off sound, where 'perceptions of sound' make up the world, with the sonic universe being comparable to a flat silver disc going round and round. This is in direct reference to how the Otoko series was originally released as a CD drama. This means that there are different universes with different laws of physics.

Yes, a power that man can only rarely exert. It is only when you push the limits of what is sometimes called "fire power" that you will find the power to do it. It's a power that can't be unleashed. I'd heard rumours about it, but I didn't know it was real. Power sounds stupid. But when I hear it in the good voice of old Genom-sama, I understand it somehow. I see, so that's what they call it in this world. It doesn't matter what it is, whether it's war power or attainment power. As long as you have this power, you will never be able to defeat me. What are you going to do with this power? It's obvious. I'm going to break through points and dimensions. It's a sound dimension in the flesh of a god, beyond my two-dimensional universe and your sound-dimensional universe. What is that? Have you not noticed? This is the dimension of organising by sound. This is the dimension of organising by sound, where perceptions by sound make up the world. What is he talking about? What is he talking about? I'm sure it wasn't our fingerprints that said that difficult thing. Oh, right. We exist here. But it's only sound. Do you understand it by theory? Somewhat. A world where the words we imagine by uttering words are equal to the reality. That is the sound dimension. What we say about the universe is real. That's what we should think. Is that why we talk so much? That's how it is, isn't it? Yes, this sonic universe is like a flat silver disc going round and round. To destroy this world, Rose's body will need your power too. Is that a core drill shining? Simon's power in this world is also being used for me. Eh, Michiko.

Why do you doubt high 1-a+?

it’s not really the MAIN focus of the CRT, so I won’t really push it, I just want to know.
All possibilities, Logical Spaces and three laws of thought. Here you just said that it is generated by thought, something that I don't think is sufficient.

But as you said it is not the main topic and I myself do not want to debate on it.

I’ve actually found evidence that the universes in these infinite possibilities can actually have entirely different laws as well, so ill add the scans for that in the high 1-a+ section in a bit.

I just wanted to pop in to say thank you for the credit for my blog!

… until I noticed that you found something that I missed completely, with that statement in OP about spiral power being able to be greater than dimensions and time, and now I have to give some quick thoughts.

Technically… that could open up a High Outer argument for Spiral Power as well couldn’t it? Using the R>F argument laid out in the blog. That would mean spiral power would be greater than the framework of dimensions, which are themselves an r>f framework of transcendence thats multilayered of many higher realities… So it would be beyond / transcending that framework in power entirely… which should be able to qualify for High Outer right?

Maybe I’m overthinking things, but it’s a thought that popped into my head that I wanted to bring up. I won’t be too involved in this thread otherwise though!

I have a lot of problems with this
In simpler terms, the primary distinction between a 2D universe and a 3D universe is essentially between fiction and reality. Each dimension above perceives those below as fictional, with each successive dimension layering further into a greater reality
This is literally just the verse using Reality and Fiction to explain the gap between Higher Dimensions, rather than literally telling that every in-verse dimension is in actuality beyond our conventional idea of dimensionality.

The very fact that the Anti Spiral Universe is literally described both in-verse and from WoG as working as a membrane debunks 1-A, as branes are "only" encompassing lower dimensions as infinitely thin layers within themselves.

At least 11 Spatial Dimensions are directly mentioned in main canon, with Lordgenome stating that the Anti-Spiral Universe exists between the dimensional branes of the 10th and 11th dimensional universes.

However, thanks to the goated Otoko no Jouken! Gurren Lagann drama CD, we may actually have a solid number for the amount of spatial dimensions beyond 11D… that being possibly up to 20D! Within the drama, one of the big bads is capable of twisting forces into the 20th dimension, with the word used for dimension being congruent with other mentions of numbered spatial dimensions in the series, making it very possible that TTGL isn’t limited to 11 Dimensions in it's cosmology, and could possibly have up to 20.

Despite WoG, it seems that the cosmology is quite bigger than previously thought.

I agree with 1-A as a result.

I would say 1-A is solid on first glance, still neutral tho, especially since the 11-D argument is iffy

High 1-A+ is just no, "infinite possibilities" doesn't translate to Modal Realism, nor is equivalent to "all logically possible". And only the mention of a "logical trap" is not enough context/evidence.

That's not how R>F works. The fact that they can link to each other at all immediately prevents it from being 1-A. It's about how disconnected they are in viewing a lower realm. This is ba bigger realm being built on top of a lower realm.

Feeling” (which is just referring to spiral power,as referred to in a previous scan.)is said to transcend time and space.
None of that is a 1-A justification going by thr FAQ, since being unbound by Time and Space would give you those qualifiers without a 1-A rating.

This is a hard disagree from me. It relies on a misunderstanding of how these statements and feats work in the context of the tiering system.

Arguing that Dimensions in TTGL are actually meta layers beyond any kind of possible size in itself is paradoxical, as it's basically arguing that only 3D actually works like actual dimensionality, and then anywhere else is just a meta layer that's basically 1-A sized in gap, which makes 0 sense.

Heck, we have literally this in the R>F page:

However, bear in mind that simple visual portrayals of a character viewing the world within some such construct are not enough to qualify. And so, for example, a cosmic entity being depicted as seeing the universe as a computer game "because this is the only way human minds can comprehend it" would not suffice, and likewise, neither would cases where a Reality/Fiction metaphor is simply used as an analogy for higher dimensions. Broadly speaking, it ought to be reasonably clear that the higher world views the lower one as something insubstantial relative to itself, or in other words, that the Reality/Fiction relationship be meant as relatively literal.

TTGL makes it super clear that the cosmology ruins under Brane Cosmology, hence why the verse is High 1-C instead of 2-A to begin with. Saying that the verse's dimensions "actually are 1-A sized meta layers instead of conventional dimensions" where anywhere else it follows pretty faithully dimensional stuff is just cherry picking at best, and ignoring stuff to wank as hard as possible at worst.

That's not how R>F works. The fact that they can link to each other at all immediately prevents it from being 1-A. It's about how disconnected they are in viewing a lower realm. This is ba bigger realm being built on top of a lower realm.
They are disconnected. the only way for this to happen is through spiral power, which is ALLOWED under the faq.

However, there are ways to bypass this barrier. For example, a non-1-A can be empowered by a higher entity into being able to influence things on a qualitatively superior level. This can happen either by a straightforward power boost, or by means of some innate metaphysical potential rooted in something from a higher reality (This can include both characters who are converted into natives of higher planes and characters who are physically lower-dimensional but have 1-Astatistics). In neither case is the capability to reach into the higher level something emergent from the structure of the lower level, and therefore they are acceptable ways to get around the above hurdles.

On the matter of power sources: That would depend on the nature of the power source itself. For example, a common trope in fiction is power sources that, so to speak, are "for the taking," meaning they are naturally self-diffusive and don't offer any resistance whatsoever to being tapped into, as being utilized in such a way is in their nafure. Drawing power from such sources is obviously not actually an anti-feat for them being 1-A, especially so if they are depicted as naturally connected to, and united with, the beings that tap into them.
None of that is a 1-A justification going by thr FAQ, since being unbound by Time and Space would give you those qualifiers without a 1-A rating.
How so?
This is a hard disagree from me. It relies on a misunderstanding of how these statements and feats work in the context of the tiering system.

That’s nice and all,but a 20th layer of reality is confirmed to exist in GL, so

It's an Infinity Big Monster that can twist the two forces into 20 dimensions and grab victory, making the bald roar. It's power. Not even a single piece of DNA was completely destroyed by the inferno of the creation of the universe. This bald man with a beard and chest hair was spouting a line that sounded like he had heard it somewhere before, but it was far from convincing. should not. If things continue like this, the Great Gurren Lagann will be burnt to the ground. The bastard above. Who is Mei's homeroom teacher? Eventually, he started hitting me with a big mouth.

So what? It just means the verse reaches in 20D. It still does not mean that Dimensions in-verse are meta layers.
Except… we are explicitly shown other wise (and the part about faithfully following brane cosmology is moot.)
Plus we already have a case where a fake R>F exists, as it's just associated with HDE, so why is TTGL any different?
as im looking through the page, the difference is that it did this with its own power, unlike this case here.

Explicitly what? Your only evidence is the 2D world being called akin to a comic book, which however the R-F page already explains how to deal with these cases. It's just the verse explaining that lower dimensions are like fiction to higher ones, rather than telling that Higher Dimensions are actually beyond dimensionality (which would be nonsensical as you'd be saying that only 3D have normal geometry, but the rest not really).

Because Simon broke in the Anti Spiral realm with what? Exactly, his Spiral Power lmfao.

I could see some 1-A arguments, but nothing beyond regular 1-A tbh.
I have a lot of problems with this

This is literally just the verse using Reality and Fiction to explain the gap between Higher Dimensions, rather than literally telling that every in-verse dimension is in actuality beyond our conventional idea of dimensionality.

The very fact that the Anti Spiral Universe is literally described both in-verse and from WoG as working as a membrane debunks 1-A, as branes are "only" encompassing lower dimensions as infinitely thin layers within themselves.
Please check this counter of mine.

Oh yeah, forgot to add this.

It following faithully Brane Cosmology is still a debunk. Branes contain the lower dimensions within themselves as infinitely thin "papers" inside of them, 1-A wouldn't consider dimensions as even infinitely smaller, as they're completely nonexistent in comparison.
