in both the shinsoban release and the chinese translation, which is official i couldn't find any raws in japanese, kaku states that you can imagine up to as many joints as you want, and confirmed at least 1,000, to increase your speed. considering he doesn't have to use all the joints in his arm and can only use a few to move at supersonic speeds, about 6, we can find the minimum speed for this technique:

1000/6 = mach 166.67 (Massively Hypersonic)

I also remember-me made a minimum calculation for all joints, and gave between Mach 100 or 120. I believe this can be a possibility only for Katsumi pra Baki and Yujiro?.. that perfected this technique until it transcends the amount of joints, intertwining them and creating a perfect whip.. regardless, the lineup was interesting and can be placed as a true possibility, and Baki and Yujiro could scale to it as well. For now i will be like to be neutral on this.

I remember that 10 joints = Mach 1, and 20+ joints = higher than Mach 1, possibly Mach 2. Katsumi quotes that it is a speed that surpasses the sound barrier implying being faster than Mach 1

it does say... If I wish to accelerate a move, you can add more joints of even more than 1000

The mach punch (A move that exceed mach 1 utlizes 8 joints for example) if you were to imagine and add extra joints... 8 more for example, you would via logic reach 2x the speed of your mach punch move or am I getting something wrong...?
