Gowther may be able to attack souls

Although it was a combined attack you can see that Gowther's magic is surronding the spear and when Chandler realizes his soul took damage he also immediately turns on Gowther which could imply that it was Gowhter's magic which allowed this to happen. King hasn't displayed any abilities in this category whereas Gowther has. I would like this to be discussed.
