Goosebumps General Discussion Thread: You're in for a scare!

Same, because I've bought and played the game and it wasn't just the lack of difficulty wrong with it. Like it looks like a Playstation 2 game.

Iirc the arguments was essentially 2 things

1. The real world transcending itself because in the second movie there is a poster of the first movie in it, which somehow creates "an infinite loop of transcendence".
2. The Goosebumps verse seeing the Cthulhu Mythos as fiction or something idk

Even if the former was valid (which it isn't at all, you can't transcend yourself), it wouldn't be usable since it is dimensional scaling or whatever. I understand I used dimensional scaling for my CTHM blog, but at least I am not going around saying that it is definitely 1-B. And I'm using it for a blog I decided to make for fun, while Icant is deadass with everything he says.

As for future CRTs, I am thinking about doing some for The Haunted Mask, The Masked Mutant, and maybe The Grool. I have gained new knowledge and ideas for them and some scaling that can LIKELY work

I just got done adding everything else and I am waiting for someone to rename the Slappy page that says "Slappy (Goosebumps)" to "Slappy (Books)"

Not like its combat applicable to begin with
I know but just bugs me but that is just me I suppose. Your reasoning does make sense for how you interpret the feat, I just view it differently I suppose.

On the point of revisions can we just put Beast from the East (Game) at 9-C? It’s claws and teeth likely warrant it, and the beasts are described as hulking (which means large and heavy), and is described as large anyway. Also casual kills children. It fits the requirements for VBW 9-C tier “Characters who stand at the threshold of human strength and capabilities, represented by Olympic level athletes or rigorously trained martial artists, as well as larger animals.” It also should likely have KE of this level. Even down playing the beast to the weight of an average American (aka a “slightly” overweight man) or 197.9 lbs and the lowest Superhuman speed of 12.43 m/s we would get: 6934.64 J.

Perhaps we can make it just its own thread or just a small part of a bigger thread planned in the future like the CRT for The Haunted Mask

Now I am thinking of some match ideas for book Slappy rn. Currently going through some horror verses like SSTTITD (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark) and THM (Trevor Henderson Mythos)

Or put every other version of Slappy up against book Slappy

Actually perhaps, though the window I believe it is implied he would break are the side door windows, which iirc are meant to be able to be broken in case the doors jam and your in a crash. I could be 100% wrong though. If it isn’t the case, then 9-B would probably work. Would be nice for the OG slasher to be comparable to modern day slashers. Still seems a bit dubious.
