Gon kinda reminds me of Goku

Was it pretty strange to have this feeling like Gon Freecss reminding me of Son Goku in his younger times? I mean, they kinda had a thing in common. Like being simple-minded and determined, having come up tactics in fighting, not being good in math, adapt in the wilderness, having the olfactory senses like a dog, confident in their strengths, fights their opponents (even if they're stronger than themselves), and a na├»veté.

Are there like a sort of similarities and differences between those two youngsters? Besides one being an alien that practices martial arts and the other being a human becoming a hunter.

A shounen main character resembling Goku in some way isn't new, heck if they don't resemble him in some way is when i'm amazed.

Any way from what I can tell Hunter X Hunter took alot of inspiration from DB.

I mean just look a Meruem and Cell.

Like I said he took a lot of inpiration from DB and made his own thing.

I can see influences of Dragon Ball in Hunter X Hunter all over the place, but that's all they are, influences.

Hunter X Hunter is a very original series, I wonder if HxH will go on to influence the Shounen manga genre in the same way Dragon Ball has
