Well, he fused with the Universe, so Goku would have to destroy the entire Universe to really kill Ness, and I don't think that be in character.

That was then remember goku has gotten 10 times stronger from kaio ken and before you say beerus was going to die from that no old Kai was basing on the fact beerus was using his full power when fighting goku but he wasn't as later beerus does use "100 precent" to nullify goku's kamehameha wave. Also it's not like goku is fighting inside ness he is fighting in his universe where ness is right next to goku universe and goku ki spams from his planet or atmosphere.

Old Kai saw his full power before, as he was sealed by Beerus. Besides, Beerus HAD to use his full power to nullify it or he would die. But that doesn't matter as we're on the same side for this speed equalized match.

That didn't "explain" anything, if anything Data was missing the point. Ness was the universe, you can't blitz the universe unless you have intentions of blowing it up, which Goku wont do.

His reaction speed doesn't scale to it. While he's everywhere at once, he can't think everywhere at once. Same goes with other 3D omnipresents.

depends if this is a bloodlusted fight between the two, even when in character Goku still has a problem letting certain attacks blow up the area and often risks the immediate area with his strongest attacks I.E. his Spirit Bomb on Namek. Does he becoming one with the universe make him live as long as the universe exists? If he has a physical manifestaton, Goku can kill that instead, y'all know that right? So does he have a physical manifesation?
@Dark this is a bloodlusted fight, he was willing to let Frieza go 100%, endangering his own family, the same with Cell and Buu... truly bloodlusted Goku would likely be like when he first went super sayian, where he even thretened his own son that he can barly control his rage.

With speed equalized I'm going Ness. He's a higher end of 3-A, much smarter than Goku and has far superior abilities.
