No, you're thinking of Earth-2 Superman (The Golden Age), Earth-1 was Silver Age Superman... who would be a little bit overpowered in this scenarioStrmi said:

On the topic of who would win, while Goku has definitely shown a lot higher destructive capacity then this Superman at the 23rd Budokai event, i feel that Superman has a massive lead in speed (he was able to move from Metropolis to the Artic in less than a span of a minute, and had some pretty good reaction time from what i remember.) I don't remember much about how good a fighter he was, but i doubt he's on Goku's level in terms of raw skill here. So its a toss up, Goku can hurt him definitely, but the upper limits of Supes Durability is unknown, and he does have far better speed. So in the long run, if he can tire out Goku long enough, he could pull in a win.
But... If the speed is equalized, then Goku's probably gonna win pretty handidly, as Superman's fighting prowess in the series wasn't up to snuff with his mainstream counterpart, and Goku's Super Kamehameha, if it lands a hit... well. I don't think Earth 1 is gonna walk away from it.
