God of War: Ragnarok Discussion Thread

Honestly we should make a temporary thread ban for whoever keeps on bringing what others say regarding Multiversal GOW and wank and downplay etc.

I’m sick of it, KLOL is sick of it, and the others are sick of it too

how I wish my favorite bald guy was 2-A or 1-C, too bad that will never happen

I remember doing battles with Dante vs Kratos, before the Dante update

Kind of, they were basically trying to say that since you can “stand in between the physical space” of realms somehow nulls all the proof of them be alt dimensions
It doesn't, Jotunheim exists far from Niflheim and Muspelheim, and Odin made the remaining 6 realms by literally carving out Ymir's flesh and forging said realms with it.

Ah yes, Egypt.

Jokes aside, it's nice that you like the mythology. We don't exactly follow the mythology at all. In-fact, I'm pretty sure no one in Egypt does. But, it's definitely cool.
Well Egypyian Myth and it's histories is the most coolest and one of the ancient civilization that we can still see to this days, i heard modern Egyptian folks are proud with it even by what you said

While I do agree that these repeated insistences are severely tiring, I do not think it worthwhile to make a rule for the verse, not unless we actually have repeated attempts to try and downplay the verse on-site in the form of CRT attempts based on age-old, already-debunked arguments that bring nothing new to the table. As none of this has left the General Discussion thread save for that imgur thread which already violates our Game Mechanics page rule, there is no need to make a rule to begin with.

We found some fun things in the GOW1 Novel.

Most of the anti-feats involving Pandora's Temple are now bunk, because as it turns out, the entire Temple itself is magical, and it has many structures either protected by incredibly powerful magic, or it has metallic traps and gears made out of a special metal that rivals even the quality of Ares' armor.

GOW1 Novel Chapters 17 and 19.

Welp, GG to downplayers.

Also, quick question KLOL since you're relatively knowledgeable on this: Would Tartarus be considered omnipresent within the underworld? Since Tartarus spans infinitely?

It's even better cause that's like 90% of their GoW 1 anti-feats.

The other 10% are people spamming that pillar scene despite not knowing the fact that Kratos wasn't even a God, and that Ares clearly threw it at around subsonic+ speeds, possibly higher though I don't think there's a calc on it.

If we take the novel into account despite the game not actually having a portal (It just allows normal entrance to the desert), then Ares would actually end up having Interdimensional Range fuckery altogether and his senses would ironically be even better than that of Heimdall. The downplay collectively shoots itself in the foot here.

Damn, really? I never really read the GOW novels, so this is surprising to me.

Yeah, the novel considers the Desert of Lost Souls to actually be an alternate dimension enterable only via a portal, so people arguing about its endless wrong ways and it being endless being evidence of the infinite sky and infinite Underworld being hyperbole are about to have the worst wake-up call of their lives.

Damn, what's the chapter saying this? Kind of want to see this myself and save it for future use.

does it have statement like "own time flow or something" tho ?

Somewhat off topic but does all Star kratos also gain polygoman abilities after he absorbs him?
Making sure cuz i seen Absortion not do this before (considerating here this isn't just a Kratos thing)

If that was required, Nyx's universe, Death's Domain, and Morpheus's universe would not be considered universes.
Those dimensions are stated to be mirrors of mortal universe. So they are automatically same size.
Nyx has eternal night so that's already different time flow, while Morpheus dimension has outright stated to be distorted time flow.
Same for Purgatory.
Underworld has it's own shenanigans.

It actually is needed. Nyx's is a mirror world to our own and we know that the mortal world is its own timeline. Same for Morpheus' realm, which has its own timeline as well. Death's Domain isn't considered as such IIRC, not enough info on it.

According to the concept artwork of GoS, time does not exist in the Domain of Death.

Ah. It's considered an alternate dimension though, so wouldn't that also make it mirrored like Nyx's?

Oh. Then, how do we determine whether it's considered a universe or not?
No one knows. All we know is it could be another dimension within the Mortal World.

But given that the game has no such portal, the game's events would take precedence and effectively nuke The Desert of Lost Souls being a separate dimension, as the novels are secondary canon, contradictions favoring the game above all else.

No I mean a temporary ban from this thread.

Ah. Well, ignoring the dimension then, how fast would Ares throwing the pillar be?
