No? Gojo infinity just stopping thing from interacting with him. Or we are talking about different thing?. Because from mechanism here mean an explicit mechanism that prevent you being damaged. For example, Regulus from Re:Zero, dude have time hax that stop his flow of time which make him do not change, dude still get kicked and punched, but because the flow of time is stopped, thhe progession of event is halted, he sustains no damage, as getting damaged mean you getting changed, cause and effect, so if you do not changed, there is no damage
I mean, isn't Regulus doing the same with time manipulation? He isn't actually nullifying damage, he's just making clever use of causality so he's technically not hit.

At what point is something a mechanic, and something else a power? If I shunt any force that touches me to the end of the universe, is that Vector Manipulation or Invulnerability?
Currently talking about that, on thread, personally i feel like of the game verse having Invulnerablity ability that prevent all damage that completely separate from simply raising your defensive, durability stats then it implies Invulnerability, Armorchompy disagree and idk Agnaa stance on this. But even if in case this get passed, probably you still need to prove the "Invulnerable to damage" isn't related to any stats
I see.

That the point, i mean, via the usage of time, he make himself unable to be damaged, with a clear mechanism of his power. Howevet, unlike Gojo infinity which stop object from interact with him, Regulus still interacted normally, can get kicked and punched, but not get damaged. So aside from having a clear mechanism, other thing is you need to be interacted first, but not get any damage, not prevent yourself from potential harms

Pretty brainstorming i guess

From Vieth's and the profiles explaination, I think Kratos may keep his invulnerability as it's granted by conceptual manipulation which can be a mechanism like Regulus time manipulation.

Wait, isn't the tenth layer replacing the invulnerability? That does actually make sense. We don't automatically assume resisting something is invulnerability.

Ngl here, idk if you guys gonna think of me as GoW downplayer or not, but from my opinion based on what is currently going in Invul thread, i don't think it count, the mechanism must be explicit, how it negate damage, make you invulnerable. So in order for Kratos to keep his Invul, the CM need to have a clear mechanism of how it negate Fear Zeus damage, rather than Kratos get Hope power, and it is show visually that Kratos getting no damage from Fear Zeus attack. Of course idk the verse much so i just based on what it show on the profile

From what I checked, Kratos has CM and AE type 2 in his power of hope key so I wouldn't think it's out of reach that he has invulnerability by using Hope as a mechanism. A possibly rating should be fine at least imo.

Guys, let's just remove it at the moment. The ability is from olden times, if it still qualifies under the new standards (which we will see once the Invulnerability thread finishes of what they even are) we'll just add it back.

I have to agree with Planck and Vietthai here. Kratos resisting the fear attack that swatted him like a bug a second ago definitely qualifies as a new layer of resistance, but why are we calling it invulnerability in the first place?

The original logic was that Zeus not only bounced off of him entirely and couldn't actually touch him while he stood still, but that according to Athena, nothing he could do would ever allow him to overcome Hope, even with his endless latent growth and ability to adapt and grow to higher levels of soul magic.

That said, this was established a long time ago and probably doesn't hold up with current standards, so removing it until that whole mess is settled and adding it again if it qualifies is fine to me.

Seeing as it's currently near unanimous and has been 2 days, I'll make the additions.

Main additions have been made and I will be updating the page links over the next few days. Closing this thread.
