So ya'll want to tell me that an advanced science center that may or may not have made a murderous wisecracking AI by essentially forcing a gal into it is smaller then an average American military base. Pretty sure just Wheatley waking Chell up and moving her apartment is going to cover more then a few hundred meters and it's heavily implied there's a LOT more where that came from.


Let's also consider that you got put into another set of tests after Weekly- I mean Wheatley took over that sent you into the bowels of hell and then realize we're dealing with at least Kilometers to Several Kilometers of range.

Hoo boy, this is a bit more difficult to explain, well... not really. Essentially Wheatley gets a key in GLaDOS's body with at least Above Average intelligence for running Aperture Science.

I mean, he didn't run it well. In fact, it's made pretty clear that he's running it as awfully as possible to a destructive degree. Range is fine tho

The facility is definitely larger than a normal military base, by like... a lot. Thing's massive if any of the establishing shots in Portal 2 are any indication, and it even contains another massive area beneath it in the old area.

As Armorchompy pointed out, Wheatley was NOT running the facility well at all. In fact, it's heavily implied that the entire facility is going to literally explode if he isn't taken out of power quickly. His intelligence should stay below average.

Edit: Watching the video in your other CRT, Wheatley actually flat-out states that the facility is going to self-destruct, and blames it on the lighting.
