Geralt Magic AP Upgrade

Everyone knows what it means. It's not that complex. But alright. Low-End

Geralt has far more low-ends than high-ends, and the narration and character portrayal (which actually is important, it is not "the worst argument") both state that the low-ends are the ones we should follow.

I mean, why wouldn't the signs scale to Geralt's physical stats? He constantly uses them on monsters that can tank them, and then attack him back. He should also have Small Building dura with Quen at least, it doesn't make much sense for one sign to dozens of times weaker than another, honestly.

On the topic of superhumans being injured by regular humans, Guts was, like, Wall level+ while fighting in the 100-man battle, but we don't cnsider him nearly dying to a bunch of Street level spears and swords as a strike against him in terms of evidence for and against his rating

No Witcher was ever portrayed to be superior to humans in everything,Geralt being almost killed by pitchfork isn't the only example. And Geralt can not just go and kill the monster, even if it is a Nekker,he always prepares for fights, uses potions and other staff.

Yeah, I know, but the fact that Aard isn't scaling to Quen just confuses me.

He takes hits from said monsters all the time. Just see, like, every contract in the game. Those monsters can take Aard time and time again and don't go down, then proceed to pummel Geralt even without Quen active, and Geralt doesn't look worse for wear. Sure, he can be hurt by fodder, but it's just odd to say that Geralt's physical AP/Dura is over a thousand times weaker than the monsters he's fighting, which would scale off of Aard/Peircing Cold.

And before you say "Witcher gear ignores dura", he's physically taking hits, and he's able to kill monsters that outright don't have weaknesses to Steel/Silver, albeit with more difficulty.

Small Building AP/Dura isn't that much of a strech, especially when there are just as many solid Mid-Ends as there are Low-Ends with him in that case.

(edit): Forgot to read the bottom part of the calc saying it was literally an outlier, lol.

The need for Geralt and his buddies to be in a consistent Tier is true though. The verse looks like a hot mess as it is, as everyone scales to Geralt and now one of his signs is AP, while everyone else in the verse is still at Street/Wall level, hundreds if not Thousands of times weaker than him.

Seriously, Signs should scale to physical stats.

Okay, good luck then.

So I still stand on Small Building for the verse until we have more consistent/reliable calcs. As I said above, Geralt's signs should scale to his other stats, as they can't insta-kill Monsters that Geralt can take down without them.

Again, as it is, Geralt one-shots most of the verse by just using Aard, so I just say that we just put Geralt and those who scale to him as "Small Building level" instead of the three vastly different keys for "with and without sword", which honestly doesn't make sense.

Bump.

Also, still don't know why physical stats are thousands of times lower than the magic's AP right now.

Now I feel bad because I've downplayed Geralt for so long; I think this is like the Hero of Kvatch. He's constantly treated like a normal human yet does something ridiculously overpowered. So if he gets upgraded I'll be fine with it

Djinn can be high 6-A in my opinion, but Geralt have knowledge to defeat one. Like the fight agaist the Dragon (the Witcher 2) or Gaunter O'Dimm both above Geralt.

Geralt can fight Kratos, but after 5 seconds Kratos would have killded him. Knowledge to defeat a 6-A character doesn't scale Geralt to 6-A tier.

I'm pretty sure that entire fight was an outlier considering how strong Djins are considered in the Witcher verse. Although in the books I think a town is destroyed in a fight with one.

That and Yennifer was sealing it as Geralt was fighting it, so there's that too.

I still need an answer on upgrading base AP/Dura to 9-A until we get more feats figured out.

Send pics or what not of someone/something tanking his signs but being tackled by him or whatnot, then we can for sure upgrade him to that

Sure, I can just boot up the game and screencap some boss fight, I thought it was pretty obvious that the bosses don't get harmed much by signs. I can link some fights too.

Ok, reading through the respect thread, I think we've definitely got grounds enough to bump him up to Small Building level

Is it really safe to use game mechanics?Cause I think it is better to use cutscenes, cause if we go by game mechanics Geralt is both strong and very weak.

I mean, the signs are used on monsters constantly in the games and the books, and it doesn't one-shot them most of the time, so it's even more presumptuous to assume that the signs are in a different tier than dura/AP.

Geralt is already described as superhuman a lot, it's not a giant stretch to place him and superhuman monsters he fights in 9-A.
