You know how great that one feeling is when everyone woke up and decided: "You know what? Traveler is fodder" Then I start seeing traveler gets no-diffed by the most weakest characters ever in powerscaling, losing in mediatok comparison with the worst character to ever exist (1.3/10 rating for Traveler is genuinely insane) and bro is a punching bag in any smart character debates. Gets talked trash more often in gacha spaces but who cares about that, I'm glad people realized how terrible traveler is whether they knew powerscaling or not 
Even casting the powerscaling aside, it's been half a century and there's genuinely no character development anyway

Traveler feels like they are stuck in limbo between being a player self insert and their own unique character and he ends up falling short on both fronts. He has too much of his own lore and character to be a blank slate self insert but he doesn't have nearly enough to stand out as a good MC.
