As far as I know, natural lightning bolts are nothing more than Building Level to CB Level in AP.
Wikia does not consider them, does not mean that they are not valid.
And any ninja fodder in Naruto has such durability and any Raiton can affect them or worse.

Soon, I pointed out 3 criteria and other with a bonus.
 
At this point you people are in denial. We have literally listed the criteria that they have met


You don't even have to meet all of them and everyone listed has meet more than two.

If they are consistently meeting the requirements there is no need to be compared to real Lightning's power.

Since we have shown the requirements meet and even got calc staff evaluations I'm going to ask for this to be made a staff only thread since the lightning evidence keeps getting ignored by normal users
 
I'm all for Staff jumping in for evaluations, but I'm still quite confused as to why the users in all of these upgrade threads continue to insist on trying to lock out other viewpoints instead of simply....engaging them? I've still not seen scans like I requested for instance.

But, do please message Staff members, Astral. I support that notion.

It's a track record of ambivalent, to say the least, behavior notably and provably directed at me in every thread for just requesting proof.

But this is all quite derailing. It'd be much easier if you stopped the ad hominem and off-topic personal jabs to simply provide evidence in the form of scans or just not answer.
 
Two similarities which are shared by static electricity? That's hardly enough to state 'Every Raiton is Lightning Speed'.
 
As already stated, I agree with @elizhaa in that regard.

But I do not think the Raiton meet the standards sufficiently well. By this precedent, any character manipulating static charges could be just as simply argued to be attacking with Actual Lightning.
 
I agree with Raiton being real lightning. There are more than 3 criteria for them. Even Raiton Clones can paralyse people as stated by the Databook.
 
making muscles of affected beings contract, having an (electro)magnetic field, being shown to actually move with a speed similar to lightning, flowing through conducting materials, the character being able to manipulate real electricity or electromagnetism in general, generating ozone or causing electrolysis.

The lightning has been shown cause muscles to spasm. This is obvious.

the lightning has been shown to flow through conducting materials like water. multiple times shown.

The lightning has been shown to manipulate electricity like chidori controlling the direction of Kirin.

The lightning has been shown to cause electrolysis, see Sarada's fight vs Kiba, with the lightning swords.

That is 4 showings.

From this, at the very least 2 of the criteria are being met:

- Conductivity: the lightning is flowing through the blade

- Paralysis: as Suigetsu states himself

This is for Darui. I'm not sure where to find the electrolysis one though.

It's the rest that are quite suspect to simply assert without any scans.
 
Well actually there are 5 because Shinki creates his magnetic field and controls iron sand with lightning

And the electrolysis would apply to that specific Raiton, yes I can agree that one fits a third criteria.

So we have two specific Raiton that can fit the criteria, presuming three is enough, and I'd support those ones explicitly being utilized.

No kirin is real lighting, it was directed by chidori.

It is not explicit it is just a byproduct of electricity in water.

You are now nitpicking, this is enough proof that raiton in general is comparable to real lighting.
 
Raiton in general is just merely lightning release. Only difference between any lightning jutsu is shape. All raiton are the same same

Already said, you can not deny that they make the same set of jutsus, with the same properties.

Your comments on "specific jutsu" and want to introduce a non-existent fallacy, make me slightly annoyed and as you are insisting on it, I believe it should be ignored. My opinion is quite simple.

All raiton's use the same chakra discharge the only difference is power and shape, that is it, so logically they all have the same qualities and thus criteria it is not fallacious.
 
These are textbook definitions of the fallacy in action, however. That's why I even brought it up in the first place.

Raiton literally means lightning release. Raiton is the same Chakra nature for any lightning release jutsu

As seen, Raiton follows 4 out of 7 criteria, and still has two that are not part of the criterion, but is favorable to its truthfulness as true.
 
Just because the techniques are all raiton doesn't mean they all scale.

If only a few techniques have shown properties of lightning while others have not or outright have properties that can disprove them being lightning then only the techniques that fit the criteria should be lightning speed.

Saying all Lightning Release are the exact same in all properties would be like saying all Sage Art are the same or all Storm Release are the exact same, even though Laser Circus is demonstrably different to Light Fang. If we accept your argument, Light Fang cannot be light due to the existence of Laser Circus, and that would be some severe antiwank.
