General Godzilla Discussion

I mean I think the parts that are in the past are good and all, but other than Shaw and Tim all the main cast are so God damn annoying, especially Cate all she does is fight with other people and acts like nothings her fault, they try to make us feel bad for her by telling us her dad left and she has trauma from watching some kids die, but it doesn't make up for the fact she's absolutely insufferable and a terrible person. Anyways thanks for comeing to my ted talk

My main issue with it is the lack of Titans. If you combine the total screen time of all the monsters in Season 1, it probably wouldn’t even equal a single full episode.

Nah I get you. It's understandable really that without context no one would understand why anyone would glaze GTS so much despite it being unironically one of the best pieces of Godzilla media ever made and I say that with my chest.
 
Just a quick update; it seems the Supernova leaks some users shared here may not be reliable, as they were reportedly created by @14_kaiju, who was later banned from Wikizilla for allegedly presenting himself as a “Production Weekly insider" and for reportedly creating false Godzilla Minus One leaks as well.

Well, I guess we'll need to wait until the movie. Kinda sad that Spacegodzilla's probably not going to be in the movie then.

That's unfortunate, but that does mean Gigan still has a chance to get in the movie over Spacegodzilla

For my part, I’m just going to wait for the movie; I’m not going to rely on any leaks.
 
With the leaks, I rely on vieweranon, who has a near spotless track record, he’s been leaking MV plots accurately since KoTM. I’ve been following the leaks scene for a while and he’s one of the few you can trust fully. The only reason I believe them is because they are from him.

He’s the one reporting the more insane things. Like
the planet titan and spacegodzilla

So just listen to vieweranon specifically and you should be good.

It’s unlikely Toho plans to push GTS onto streaming services. They deliberately rebranded the 1998 Godzilla as Zilla to distance it from the main Godzilla identity, and promoting the series again could recreate brand confusion they already tried to resolve. Additionally, GTS involves complicated licensing with Sony/Tristar, which makes distribution less straightforward, and Toho generally prioritizes internally controlled iterations of the character for modern promotion.
 
I wonder why they don't put the Original Godzilla movies (1954-2004) on streaming. I'm aware some of them are in the US, but they don't do it for other countries, specially given some of them were dubbed. Putting them on Netflix would be the safest choice

The biggest Godzilla market outside Japan is the United States, so Toho mainly focuses there rather than on other American countries for now. Many Godzilla movies were dubbed into Spanish, but some of those older dubs are considered lost media, according to forum discussions.

In my country (Brazil), outside of the US-made movies and modern movies, we only got dubs for 2000, Vs. Biollante, Vs. King Ghidorah and Vs. Mothra. I'm not aware of DVD releases but you can find the dubs online. Strangely enough, when i search the name of the movies it appears translated titles for them, so i have no idea if they got now lost-media dubs
